“i didn't plan to go there...i was looking for the dongnae foot bath hot spring...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

i planned from my country that i had to go to dongnae foot bath hot spring...but when i was there, in busan...the weather didn't go along with my plan...it's really hot there, & when i was looking for it...it's really difficult to find...the people around dongnae didn't help much...i was tired & sleepy...& some people that i asked showed me the way...but when i arrived...i just found this Hurshimchung Spa...when i went to the receptionist...i got my headache because of the heat in busan...i knew that i had to come back to my hotel..the heat really made me do nothing whole day in busan....all i could do...just take photo of the neon signage...but based on the price list & the photo of the interior inside Hurshimchung Spa...i wasn't interested at all...just old spa with old ambience there...nothing more...still all i wanted was dongnae foot bath hot spring that my friends told me to go...the point is...if you stay at gwangan beach area....please remember that it's not easy to find evethough you're already in dongnae area...have a lot time in your itinerary...maybe in the morning is the best time for you if you want to go there...

“Very Enjoyable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

I've been to both Spaland and Hurshimchung. They are both great, each in their own way. Spaland is very couples oriented- lots to do in the expansive ( co-ed) jjimjilbang area. But Hurshimchung is the Disney-world of soaking spas. At least on the Male side. Easy to find from the train station. It is connected to the Hotel Nongshim which you can see from the train on the left coming from central Busan. Spa is behind the Homeplus shopping center and to the left.
Exit Oncheonjang station- at 5, go over bridge and go through the Home Plus complex. On the other side, cross the street and walk left to the next corner. Turn right and walk straight for 2 blocks. Its on the corner, and conected to the hotel by a second story bridge. Modern Building and take the elavator to secong floor.
The jjimjilbang is 2000 won extra, and not very exciting after Spaland. But the spa- at 8000 won when I went on a weeekd, was fantastic. A Roman bath meets Korean bath. Got a saltscrub for 18000 won. Well spent for a 20 minute massage. If you just want to relax in hot water- you can't beat this place. Indoor and outdoor spas, as well as specialty pools of different minerals. Signage in English. Staff very friendly. Pay on your way out, as your key is a debit card , so all food , services are added.

“A Very Enjoyable Hot Spring in Busan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

The Hurshimchung is located in Dongnae, Busan. Dongnae is a famous hot spring village in Busan. The Hurshimchung hot spring is highly recommended by the local people, I could not find any foreigners when I visited there. The Hurshimchung hot spring is not in a traditional Korean hot spring style, jimjibang. The Hurshimchung is divided into two areas, one is for male, and one is for female, there is no common area inside the hot spring. First, you need to check in at the reception, and you have entered the changing room, everyone is naked in the changing room. Then, you have to have a shower before you enter the hot spring area. There are different kind of indoor hot spring pools, around 6-7, the average temperature is 38 c. I definitely like one pool that is build by wood, the temperature is quite high, 45c, I was told that pool of hot spring has a specific effect to human body. I also recommend you try the water fall message, which is you can stand or lie down, and a large volume of water will fall on you body, that is a very enjoyable water message. if you are not interested in the above activities, there are several sauna room in different temperatures. Lastly, the fees of the hot spring is very attractive, you can not find a clean, quality hot spring with such attractive price in China.

“Not worth the trip - go to Spaland instead”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Visiting this sauna was probably my biggest regret during my otherwise relaxing and fun Busan trip. You really have to go out of your way to get to this spa. I took the metro then had to walk for about 20 minutes and got lost along the way. Perhaps there is an easier route but I wouldn't bother. It isn't close to being as good as Spaland at Shinsegae. Spaland is also in a convenient location near the metro and Haeundae so definitely go there. It's probably the best spa in all of Korea. Hurshimchung is big but old. It wasn't particularly unique or different from the typical jimjilbangs I've visited in Seoul. If you are living in Busan then check it out. If you are a tourist with limited time, there are plenty of better places to visit in Busan.

“Different sort of spa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

I've been to 3 spas in Korea and this was the only one that had you be naked the whole time. Nothing outside the baths.

Most are warm--only 1 cold and 3 lukewarm such that I could find. They have waterfalls that will knock you over if you're not careful and lots of TVs all showing different shows if you go during your favorite show.
