“Pleasantly Surprised!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2011

After some initial doubts after reading a few mixed reviews we found the Elysee Motel to be fantastic. The owner emailed maps and directions in Korean & English making it easy to get from the KTX station to the motel. Our room was clean and comfortable, came with a steam shower/sauna and spa, flat screen TV, DVD player, video and computer with internet access. The owner gave us a quick rundown on how to use all the gadgets in the room and provided some great ideas on where to eat and drink, not that there is a lack of places! Although a 'love motel' we didn't see or hear anyone in the 5 nights we stayed. Location is great, walking distance to everything you need, food, drink, shopping, markets and transport. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to visit Busan and stay at the Elysee again.

My husband and I arrived in Elysee motel expecting a room with a bedroom and a shower but we got a whole galaxy master bedroom. We loved the glow in the dark milky way on the ceiling of our bed. The bathroom was even better. There was a tub, fancy shower and a little sauna which we made full use of since it was winter. The location was great too. Busan tower was right in the backyard and shopping was just a walking distance away. The manager, Mr Son, was really of great help. He speak great English and also gave us great directions. He also gave me great kimchi making tips! He recommended us a seafood restaurant near the jagalchi market and the food was fantastic. It was value for money. We will definitely stay in Elysee motel if we go to Busan again!

Ignore the fact that this motel (like so many others in Pusan) can be rented by the hour. The owners are super friendly and helpful - even gave us an umbrella when it started raining as we were checking out. Its in a great spot: under the Pusan tower, a short stroll to the new Lotte, and the night markets, PIFF square, and Jagalchi fish market. Free wireless internet in the room was a great bonus, and we always slept well thanks to good heating / cooling and soundproof firedoors. Rooms really are good value for money. Definitely recommend this place and all its unique charms for a value stay in Pusan.

Everything you`re looking for in a good low cost motel is right here. Everything is clean, organized, and very new. Rooms are a good size, the location is perfect, and the customer service is exceptional.

Rooms are huge and not cluttered. There`s a big tv, a kitchenette, and pretty big washroom. In our washroom, we had a tub and a stand up shower. Stand up shower was equiped with many shower heads for mulitple shower needs and can transform into a steam room. A STEAM ROOM! Movies galour on every floor. Mood lighting with a controller for the perfect setting. Tissue Box. Free parking, but not an issue for us. And this was all in a castle!

Great location. Close to all the amenities, from train station to shopping areas, and huge markets. Very close to the fish market and the park. Many karoke bars and spas around the area; lots of restaurants.

Sunho knew everything about everything and was prepared for it. After taking a look at his shelf of custom made maps, you knew he was prepared for any traveller to go anywhere. The final ride to the train station was very informative and convincing to come back to Busan.

Definately recommended. We loved the location, how close it was to everything, and it`s a big deal when the host really cares. Will be coming back for sure.

Perfect for Busan. On the side of Yongdusan hill for Busan Tower; easy walking to Chagalchi fish market, the Lotte Dept. store, harbour sightseeing, ferries to Japan; in the PIFF area; between two stops on the No. 1 line. Warm staff. The proprietor speaks excellent English and kindly sends detailed directions. He has recommendations for local restaurants. Space-age water facilities in the bath. Mammoth TVs and high-speed internet. No frills, but great place and a bargain!

We had a very nice stay, SungHo and his wife are very nice and informative about the area. The location is super, 5 minute walk to the subway and even less to the shopping street, local market and street food.

The only thing we didn't like was there was used soap in the bathroom but we had our own anyway.

The room itself was definitely geared for a couple, black lights, a li'l disco ball that changes color, etc. we enjoyed that aspect of the room very much :)

Can't imagine that such an amazing place got only two stars. Location is excellent & bring you to see the whole Nampo. You can enjoy shopping there for the whole day or two.Room facilities is marvellous, steam room. massaging bath tub, one remote control all utilities, hot & cold water installation, Refrig is cool enough for storing foodstuff , computer with lan free, 48 inches LCD TV with various programme, in addition, self-select tap outside elevator lobby in every floor.
Mr Ho , the boss , is impressive. Honest, kind , helpful & trustful.
I almost been to Busan every year since 2007, living in different hotels such as Grand; Paradise & Kukji. None of these hotels gave us the warmest feeling in travelling. My wife & I will come back when there is blossom again.

Room Tip: Depends on your needs, single bed or double bed.
