Our family (mom, dad, three boys ages 6 and under) stayed at three Homewood Suites during our June 2007 vacation (Syracuse and Buffalo were the other two stops).

This was the best Homewood Suites of our three stops. The quality and service were great and I was disappointed that we only stayed one night. When we arrived we decided to cancel our dinner plans after seeing the light evening meal. It was the most extensive selection that we had been offered at a Homewood -- BBQ steak, three salad options, a vegetable, dinner rolls, cornbread, multiple wine selections, etc. All of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

We had a studio suite for the night, which worked great for our one night stay. Due to the layout it was easy not to disturb anyone's sleep when accessing the kitchen or bathroom. The room also had a large flat screen TV that easily turned and granite countertops. The bath had a shower, rather than a tub/shower combo, which was a welcome change.

The only thing that I found bothersome about this hotel was that the message light on our phone started blinking around 3:00 AM or so. I was sleeping next to the phone and the flashing light woke me up. My initial thought was that someone was trying to reach us with some bad news but asked that we not be disturbed in the middle of the night and asked to leave a message instead.

The message, however, turned out to be from the hotel asking that we rate them a "10" in the survey! For this, I have to give them a "9." For anyone staying at this hotel because they are visiting an ill friend or family member this message in the middle of the night would not be in good taste.

This hotel is a beautiful, family friendly hotel that serves dinner and breakfast for FREE! I'm not talking a sandwich and a cup of soup or a muffin and a cup of coffee...I mean full meals with a gorgeous sitting area to eat them in! The rooms are immaculate and the staff is so friendly. I can't believe such a perfect hotel exists, let alone in Albany.

Hotel was outstanding!
Room was immaculate, bright and spacious.
Staff was very friendly, courteous and more than willing to accomodate.
The breakfast area was very large and terrific foods were available.
Was worried on arrival with so many young people in the hotel,
but was extremely quiet.
Will definately stay there again.

Everything in brand new, I love it.
This is the 2nd time I'm in Albany. The fist time we stayed at the Marriott. The Marriott was an o.k. hotel. But The Homewood Suite was much much better.
We were there only for one night (Tuesday). Dinner & breakfast was include. I guess that's why they charge a little more than other hotels, but it's worth it.
The room was spottless. The bed was very comfy (although I prefer a firmer mattress), I think most people will find it very comfortable too. The blanket & comforter is very solt & comortable also. Westin's Heavenly Bed, watch out, you've got a competition.
My only complain, there was no ice cream.
