“Great place for casual food and a good brew.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2011

No frills restaurant with good food and brew.
Casual ambiance, plenty of parking (a plus in Albany), and unique historic building.

“An interesting and unique breath of freshair for adults.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2010

This restaurant is uniquely built into an actual brewery, where it's customers can sit on the lower levels and look up at where the beer is actually made. The portions are large, I recommend sharing your meal with someone. The food is delicious. Service is a little slow, but very friendly. The prices are a little steep but compared to the portion size of the meals you receive, you're getting a great value. This is a place for adults, and not for young children.

“Good place in Albany”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2010

We've been there twice and we'll go back when we're in Albany. Yesterday's lunch was interesting and tasty. My mom couldn't even finish her salad because it was so big. The menu is quite extensive and their brew is good. I wish the beer was a little colder, though. Their desserts were tasty. It's a nice place to have lunch and have a beer with the family.

“Not much better than your typical pub!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2010

The plates, cutlery, and glassware were DIRTY!!!! I've heard NY has hard water, but that shouldn't be my problem!! I went to pump station on my first night in albany, based on an urban spoon review, which had described the food as SECOND best in Albany. It was definitely NOT second best, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're looking for easy-going family eating. I would skip it and just go to cheesecake factory.

The atmosphere is cute, however! Comparable to the distillery district in east toronto. :)
