The family and I stopped over in Albany on the way across New York State. The hotel is well placed and smart with good car parking. We paid extra for an executive room since it was so competitively priced
and it was vast with lots of great extras; really useful for the 4 of
us and all our luggage. But the best are the beds - simply wonderful although the bathroom was very ordinary.

It was quite busy while we were there so the service suffered particularly at breakfast where the service was so poor that we did not tip.

I spent a night at the Crowne Plaza for business purposes and was impressed with their customer service. From the desk staff, bellboys and room service, everyone was friendly, smiling and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and satisfied with my stay. Shortly after finishing room service I received a call asking if I was satisfied with my meal. I have never had that happen with any other hotel I've stayed at.
The Grille and Restaurant in the hotel are great choices to eat at, the food was great. The location was perfect for walking downtown and to the business conference I was attending. If I were in town again I would certainly consider staying here again for the customer service and convenience of location even though the price seems higher than most other hotels in the area and the room was not any different than most hotels.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Albany is a centrally located, upscale hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The lobby and rooms were very clean and well maintained. The bed we had was one of the most comfortable I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was one of the filthiest and disgusting places I’ve ever stayed! My coworker and I both had to change our rooms. I walked into my bathroom and noticed mud and brown stains all over the bathtub. Since it was midnight and I was exhausted, I decided to just use a towel to clean the walls. The towel was totally brown when I was finished cleaning. I then noticed hair all over the sink and floor…and it wasn’t mine. At this point, I was thoroughly disgusted. I then went to the desk to unpack and noticed that the bottle of Aquafina water that they sell for $3.00 had been opened – the seal was broken and it had clearly been used. At this point, I was so grossed out I decided to call the front desk to change rooms. While I was talking with them, I noticed that the tv wouldn’t turn on. They offered to send a technician up to fix the tv and I explained that I was in my pajamas and it was midnight and I really didn’t want a technician in there trying to fix the tv. The manager then told me that had a water main break a week before and brown mud had been coming out of the drains, which leads me to believe they never cleaned the bathrooms afterwards. The manager moved me to the suite, which was slightly better, but the Aquafina bottle in that room was even more disgusting – that seal had also been broken and the bottle was half full! It had also been a smoking room at one point and still had that stale smoke scent. The next morning, I found my coworker complaining to the front desk staff about her horrible stay – she not only had the same brown mud stains in her bathroom, but her toilet had feces stains and overflowed on the floor when she flushed it. They moved her to a suite and, as she was unpacking in her new room, another hotel guest opened her door because the room was overbooked! Talk about horrible cleanliness and lack of security! I’ll never stay here again!
