“Avoid at all costs!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

We are currently spending a two week vacation in Mahe and decided to venture down to Anse Soleil beach to do some snorkeling and take some pictures. We were considering having some lunch at the Anse Soleil restaurant however after the way we were treated, we would certainly never ever go there. My girlfriend wanted to take a picture of the area from their balcony and we were rudely thrown out by the owner who was extremely loud and unpleasant simply because he had placed a rope to cordon off the balcony area. After having a look at the restaurant and the surrounding, I would certainly not recommend this restaurant to anybody.

“A total rip-off. More expensive than the best restaurants”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Don't go! The setting in front of the beach is nice, BUT: these people are ripping of tourists. The food is like a good take away which you can buy for max. 60 rps - in thes restaurant you pay 4-6 times more. Extremely overpriced. and in the last 4 years the prices have almost doubled!! On top of that owner, managed and some staff are rude and bossing the Customers around. They also try to trick you into excursions - don't fall for this. A total rip-off. This place is run by people with a lot of criminal energy. Go for the beach which is lovely, but don't eat there. And to all you in Four Seasons: please stop supporting these people by going there. Try La Plage or other good restaurants on the island. Boycott this place please or more innocent tourists will get ripped-off.

“the owner need a serious medical treatment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

unfortunately one of the most beautiful beach in Seychelles and probably in the world has been spoiled by the owner of the restaurant which is on top of it.
He is someone who states that Seychelles are for seychelloise and all the foreigner should stay in their own country. Well the day he told me like this after an issue on the car park, I counted the number of local people sited at his restaurant and was 0. Only tourists eating there.
Unfortunately his racist attitude and arrogance against everybody goes to his restaurant (he should remember clients are not always granted) put in a big embarrassment also his staff which is trying the best to be polite....Well they don't have a good sample though.
I advise him to go for a serious medical treatment with a specialist to see if he can sort out his problems...

“Nice view but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

This is a great spot for lunch. You can sit outside with your feet in the sand, looking over a beautiful little bay. However the experience is a little spoiled by the very high prices for the food. It would be fair to say they could take 100 Rupees off the price of each main course and that would bring things down to a reasonable level commensurate with the quality and presentation of the meals. For example, fish and chips are 300 Rupees here and generally around 150 Rupees elsewhere on Mahe. The food itself is quite nice and served in Creole style. Recommended, if you are happy to pay for the view, rather than just going for the food.
