“Not woth for the money spent”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

We went there expecting a well presented garden: this is not the case. Trees that should be marked with a number are not anymore and the information provided is really poor. better to spent 2 hours by the Tea Factory instead of this Garden

“Spice Garden - Mini Forest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

For the visitors and residents, visit to Spice Garden in the South (East) of Mahe is highly recommended. A trip from afternoon till evening feels good as one could experience lot of birds and chirps and see all parts of the garden, also blue sky and a distant coast. For easy-going walk around, 2.5 to 3 hours are recommended. Residents pay SR 55 and Non-Residents pay SR 110 as entrance, which is worth. A small restaurant offers good food at reasonable rates. Vegetarian food is available too. There is also a souvenir shop. Just a note of caution, the herbs garden has spiders to be careful about. Coming back, right across the main road, there is a beach anse royale, where evening could be spent. A must half-day trip while in Seychelles. From Victoria, drive straight down south on 5th June Ave Road. Turn right on the road next to Sey. Univ crossing. Passing by the fields, turn left on a major intersection ahead and a few meters further up, turn right which is next to a mini-store. Its an uphill narrow drive after this ending in the parking lot of the Garden. And yes, the Garden owner/manager provides a map and explains major trails to the visitors. ENJOY!

Loved the various plants and creatures including the exotic spider. The souvenir shop had many nice things and spices that we bought .

“Yes, please do.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

Very honest, very good food. Across the board, the food was superb. Please save space for the spice ice creams, which were yum. And compared to the Four Seasons eats, this was half the price. Well done.

Note: There is a charge to walk the plantation, we opted not to as the food was pleasure enough.
