“Kibbutz Lavi Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2012

Stayed two nights March 6-8 '12. Remarkable experience to stay here. Be sure to ask to meet one of the Kibbutz members who explains how they operate. Hotel is clean and safe. Welcoming staff serving good food. Great cappuccino bar next to hotel desk. Great stop if you are walking the Jesus Trail. This was a stop on our tour hosting 20 of our clients. trainingunlimitedtours.com

We had an amazing time there! There was a playroom for the kids, a walking tour of the kibbutz in the afternoon, and a beautiful atmosphere. The food was delicious; very gourmet. The staff was so polite and couteous. They kept coming over to us and asking us if we needed anything. The waiters at the meals are people who live on the kibbutz, and htey take turns each week. They were so helpful. We were there for a weekened in the winter, and still got to swim, because they have a beautiful indoor heated swimming pool! The rooms are modern and airy. It was a beautiful weekend!! I highly recommend it!!

A kibbutz is a Jewish collective community, and the main source of income was agriculture. These days they have other economic means such as factories and hotels. While touring around the sea of Galilee, we stayed at Kibbutz Lavi's hotel for 2 nights as part of a package tour. The hotel is no different from regular ones, and we stayed in a large room with comfortable single beds (the reception told us there were no double beds). Besides pretty decent Kosher breakfast and dinner spreads, other amenities include free wifi throughout the hotel, conference rooms, a small gym (though with gender differentiates hours), a swimming pool and a table for table tennis. You could also stroll through the gardens and rest of the kibbutz. At night, we attended a talk given by a long time member of the kibbutz who gave us a very interesting overview of kibbutz life. We are glad to have taken a peek into this unique mode of life!

I noticed that there are good reviews of the hotel.
I honestly do not agree.

Upon arriving at the hotel was attended by a gentleman of about 60 years that seemed extremely grumpy he wanted me to go. When I asked the service Bell boy he made a face as if seeing an ET.

The room is simple. The extra bed is only good for a small child.
Dinner is very simple and care of the girls though cordial is unprofessional.

The hotel looks like a maze. There are several lifts haphazardly arranged and poorly marked.

the Hotel was nice, rooms were big & clean. the food was great! after Dinner we went one night to a meeting room where they told you about what a Kibbutz is & history. it was intresting, i recommend it, your in Israel:)..I figure the place must be good, because alot of "real Jewish people" where there with there black hats & curls..I felt the place was authentic & added a plus to our already great trip!

I stayed here as part of a tour. The room was decent. There was a big dinner buffet, which was quite good. There was a talk about the kibbutz after dinner which was interesting although the man wasn't the best presenter.

Modern, comfortable hotel, nice rooms with lovely wooden floors, comfortable, squeeky clean, fresh country atmosphere, even a balcony; huge Israeli breakfasts and delicious buffet dinners; wine and bar available. If you have a problem, they will solve it too. My husband and I were very impressed with this place.

Room Tip: Try to stay in the newer wing; it is great.
