“Good location in Tiberias”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

This hotel is set up primarily for large bus tour groups, but my wife and I felt that it served our purposes well. Using Tiberias as a base from which to explore Galilee and Golan by car for three days, we found Ron Beach Hotel to be a comfortable place to come back to late each afternoon. Our second story room was spacious, featured a balcony, and looked out on the pool and the Sea of Galilee. The breakfast, included in our price, was good (especially when the manager offered to prepare omelets for me!). We did not eat dinner at the hotel, preferring the interesting restaurants within walking distance near the Promenade. We read that the hotel charged for room WiFi, but the manager kindly instructed the clerk not to charge us. Finally, for independent (non-tour bus) travelers, the location of the hotel provides easy access to main roads to surrounding areas. This hotel worked out very well for us.

We stayed here as part of pilgrimage to Holy Land and really enjoyed our time here. It is right on the water and we had a room facing the sea and I was able to enjoy sunsets and sunrises. The garden is a nice spot to reflect in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food choices were amazing with so many selections to choose from for the breakfasts and dinners there. There has to be something for everyone. There were both choices of local food but also for travelers who are not so adventurous. The rooms were spacious. Ours had a king sized bed (two twins together) and another twin. It was clean! There was a mini fridge and a in room safe. Our bathroom had both a tub and a shower. The piano bar room was a nice place to meet other travelers. There was wifi for a flat fee (very, very reasonably priced) for our entire stay. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Imagine waking up at 4:30 a.m., to a 'choir' of birds singing in the palm trees outside your room, which has floor-to-ceiling, dual aspect windows. As you listen to those birds, the sunrise 'show' begins, and it is amazing. On the water, are two fishermen, fishing 'ancient style' from their boat. In February [2014] it was my delight to stay at the Ron Beach Hotel for the first time. Rooms were lovely and clean, and the views over the Sea of Galilee, amazing. The buffet is great, and a good selection of food, even for someone like myself with restrictive dietary needs. The staff were very pleasant. Should I be there again, I would definitely stay at this hotel. [ By the way, the 'Jesus Boat' docks right along side the hotel, when it brings guests back from a trip 'on the sea.']

Room Tip: all rooms are good; all have a Sea view

Two weeks ago, I led a group of 30 people to the land of Israel and we spent three nights at the Ron Beach Hotel in Tiberias. As usual, our stay at this hotel was exceptional. This family run hotel is a wonderful place to relax after a long day of touring. The food is delicious and you absolutely can not beat the view. This hotel sits on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and offers amazing views of the sunrise over the Golan Heights. I don't go to Tiberias unless I can stay at the Ron Beach Hotel. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the Sea of Galilee. So, choose any room that you like. Some of the rooms...

The view from our room was the most memorable, and felt like we were perched right in the middle of the Sea of Galilee. We could see nothing but water and the land across the "sea". The room was clean and a nice size, with bath and shower, safe, and mini-fridge. The meals were awesome, with so many options and new things to try! Great atmosphere to get together and talk about the day's adventure. Nice but expensive bar with a piano and wifi for $5 per stay. Outside, there are tables and chairs and swings so you can sit and talk and enjoy the evenings. The pool was much fun and also the option of swimming in the "Sea". Many diverse groups of people to meet here. Everyone speaks English and they accept dollars. It was my favorite hotel of my trip to Israel!

Service good, rooms good, beds good, food superb. Only downside is the distance some of the rooms are from reception if you have mobility problems. The location right on the sea of Galilee couldn't have been better.

Room Tip: Low numbered rooms ) 201,202,301,302 etc are nearest reception & dining room & bar.

This was the last 4 days of a 10 day pilgrimage to the the Holy Land. We had a friendly welcome and shown to our rooms which were clean and large with a sofa and ensuite overlooking the Sea of Galilee. The dining room is large and has an extensive menu at all meals to cater for everyone's needs. The grounds are lovely with a swimming pool and access to the Sea of Galilee. It was the perfect end to a wonderful experience.
