This is a lovely hotel with all the comforts. The treatment in the spa was excellent, the masseuse was friendly and intuitive. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was a buffet and all we wanted to do was eat more! As an added bonus, (Wednesday night) there was a jazz player, who also played the saxophone, and chatted to the audience (we were a tiny group of 6) explaining about certain pieces of music. Great. At breakfast we could see that the room overlooked an amazing view. The staff were polite and helpful. A good time was had! It is built on a 15th century (approximately) khan/inn.

We stayed at this hotel eight years ago, and I was disappointed this time. The staff was not very friendly. We were in the newer wing this time, and the rooms lack personality and could have been cleaner. It rained and it was difficult navigating the cobblestone path to the restaurant. Restaurant was OK but not as good as the others we were in during our Israel trip. Our friends could hear us talking through the wall between our rooms.

We stayed at the Ruth Ramonim hotel for 4 nights in Novmeber 2014. The room was big, with a large double bed. There were nice cosmetics left in the decent size bathroom, great shower. Also tea and coffee making facilities. One thing to note though. We had a room in the courtyard, with a lovely view, but when it rains it becomes very difficult to negotiate the stairs and waterlogged slippery stones to the breakfast room and reception. The reception staff were helpful at all times ,although the staff in the restaurant could smile and be a bit more attentive.Breakfast is amazing with plenty to choose from. I asked for an omelette which was made immediately and without fuss.( there was scrambled eggs).Overall would definately recommend this hotel for your stay in Zafat.
Very good value for money!!

Room Tip: Stay in main hotel if the weather forecast is rain!!

If you care (as I do), you need to know what to ask for. The Old part is the historical khan, with rooms spread about and of differing shapes and sizes; the new block is, well, a new block. In the old block, most rooms face the view, in the new block, only one side faces the view. Some of the rooms in each block appear to be deluxe or whatever. A word of warning: Many of the rooms in both blocks back onto or face the road. This is a quaint old cobbled street, with little traffic, but every vehicle that does pass, makes one hell of a noise. Buffet meals excellent. Cosmetics, generously provided, but rather cheap and nasty. Staff a bit amateur, but all very friendly and helpful, and all eager to please.

Room Tip: Away from the road. Old block, with a view.

I have traveled many places and it is standard that payment of hotel stay is made at the end of ones visit. Without telling me they charged my card in advance and did not allow me the opportunity to pay in cash as I had wanted. The staff was not courteous or helpful and that is not acceptable for the guest service/ hospitality industry.

This is a decent hotel situated at the heart of the Artists' Colony. It's an old building with a unique decoration which endows it with a certain charm. The breakfast buffet is quite rich. Still, I'm not sure these facts justify the high price.

The hotel is authentic yet modern steeped in history. The rooms are well-appointed with amazing views. Centrally located, close to the Artist Colony and very quiet and serene environment. We missed breakfast but the staff was extremely accommodating in providing us with a delicious impromptu meal. The Dining Room Manager, Teran Mari, made sure that we were comfortable and hosted us very well. We will certainly make sure to be back in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
