The location is great - walking distance from the main street and still kind of tucked away higher and in the back.
However, i wouldn't call it a hotel. More of a youth hostel. Was there in winter and the access road was being paved. Went in and was transported to the 50's but not in a good way. Furniture looked old and ill maintained. Was told there was free Wifi in the "lobby" but it was cold to sit there and the signal was weak.
Waited a few minutes for someone to appear at reception. The entrance and corridors smelled of a kitchen (again-not in a good way) and it was cold. Central heating started in the evening hours. Breakfast was OK but hoped for more as Israel is known for great variety healthy breakfasts. The rooms were old and poorly maintained. Just soap and shampoo in a small packet.
Did not book this hotel by choice - work related. Wouldn't stay there again but if you are on a budget and don't care much for a hotel but more for the area i guess it's an option...
