We went to Mizpe Hayamim at the end of Octobre, 2007 and just returned from a 2 weeks trip around Israel. This hotel was one of the nicer experiences, we have made.
It is very relaxing and charming !
Nice rooms in old charm style.
Great spa.
Healthy food.
Our children (12 and 13 ) enjoyed it , too. There were many animals on the ground.
One little disappointment: There is a motorway , that is 500 meters next to the hotel. You here it and you can see it from the upper levels.
That`s really sad.

“Very relaxing stay”

Mitzpe Hayamim

We spent three nights at Mizpe Hayamim on half board having travelled there on the recommendation of an Israeli friend. We had booked deluxe rooms but on arrival we were hugely upgraded to deluxe suites which were some of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in anywhere- wooden floors/old wooden furniture/flat screen tv/balcony/massive bathroom with English style chrome and dark wood fittings - jacuzzi bath and big separate shower cubicle. All beautifully clean and well kept.
The first impression is of a colonial hotel somewhere like an Indian hill station or Ceylon. The grounds are lush ( containing an organic farm as well) and there are indoor atria with plants growing in them too. The food in the hotel restaurant ( where you eat half board) is dairy/vegetarian - the breads cakes and cheeses are made on site and are very good. There is a gourmet meat restaurant on site too- but it is not kosher. One nice feature of the hotel is its many nooks and crannies for sitting and relaxing in-inside and out. In one of these just beyond reception is a very nice "tea corner" where free tea and coffee ( all sorts) is always available. Between 4 and 5 pm they also bring free cake which is a nice touch.

The spa is very nice with plenty of treatments available- certainly the facials and aromatherapy were good -we didn't try anything else.
Overall a relaxing and very comfortable experience in the hotel and also its position made it very easy to sightsee in Rosh Pinah Szfat and the Sea of Galilee too.

My wife and I arrived at Mitzpe Hayamim after trekking around Israel for a week. It truly felt like an oasis. The location overlooking the Sea of Galilee is spectacular. The overall vibe of a laid back spa felt a bit like Post Ranch Inn. The room was very comfortable, with high ceilings, a great bed, flat screen, huge marble bathroom, etc. We were on the 6th floor and there is a secret terrace up there with the best views in the hotel. We would spend hours up there looking at the lights on the Golan. Truly magical. The food was very good. The main restaurant is a buffet with different local organic offerings at every meal. It's no longer vegetarian, but is a "milk" restaurant. The pool is nice, but nothing great and the spa is pretty good also.

The first room (402) was very dirty with ants all over the room. When we compalined several times they trasfered us to a different room (420) that had a very strong smell from the drainage so we did not sleep all night. When we complained about it in the morning they did nothing and did not even apologized.

Before we left we talked with the manager who did not seem to care and did not even apologized.

We travel a lot around the world and have been in many hotels and this by far was the worst. We have no intention of ever going back there.

This is our favorite hotel in all of Israel. We have stayed there 4 times. The grounds, rooms, main areas are all superb. The food, which is all grown or made onsite, is wonderful and tasty. We enjoyed the hottubs, pools and spa's also. The service is friendly and everyone speaks english. I consider this place to be a paradise!
