“Best Shawarma in Israel...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Every time I'm in Israel I HAVE to find a moment to go there!

I go to the one in Ramat-Gan, but they have another one in Tel-Aviv. It is a place where you get your food at the counter, fill a plate with some salads and go to one of the free tables to eat.

What a delight, you would not expect such a taste in that type of place. Every shawarma lover in Israel knows this pleace that has the reputation of being the best in the country.

The best thing is they serve VERY late (I wnet there once after my plane landed at 1.00AM- thus being in the restaurant at around 2.00) and they are kosher.

An insider tip.. TRY IT you'll thank me!

“Could possibly be the best shawarma in the world, not even joking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012

clean, quick service with the best shawarma in Israel hands down, better than any other ive ever had anywhere else in the world, also with dining capabilities to serve other courses that are equally appetizing, and perfect to set hunger straight.

“Simple, cheap - yet very authentic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

This is a very simple restaurant, I would call it a fast-food place but this is not really true since the product that they sell - Shawarma, is a good choice for a balanced meal.
Shemesh simply make a very very good Shawarma - Shawarma? chunks of turkey breast meat roasted in a vertical rotisserie, lamb fat is added for flavor.
Shawarma is served inside a pita bread or LAFA (like a burito) together with fresh chopped vegetable salad, fries and, of course, Humus.
This is a seat-in or take-away restaurant - nothing fancy (to say the least) but very good!
