“Getting Better All the Time - and like "staying with friends"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

I so enjoyed staying at the Blue Bay last fall that although my business brings me to the airport area, I am staying there again. The hotel has just put in a state of the art spa. Other improvements are immediately obvious as one sees that the hotel is steadily being improved and updated. The staff remain the most conscientious and friendly you could ever imagine, and they truly pamper and personalize their attention to guests.

On the weekend there were a number of large groups in the hotel, but the management asked people to attend separate seatings so there was order and tons of the Chef's wonderful food and people singing ---it was just beautiful.

The view also is one of the most gorgeous - every room looks out at the Sea, and the sun setting over the Mediterranean is absolutely breath taking.

It's also a great location because it is so central to everywhere in the country.

I will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Towering over the Mediterranean, the Blue Bay offers rather unique rooms for a hotel in Israel. Ours had a separate area (one could call it a 'mini-suite') with is own bed and TV, right in front of the terrace. Rooms are clean with storage space and a very special bathroom wih large shower stall and an opaque window panel facing the bedroom. The hotel is large and the facilities can accommodate large groups. Breakfast is typically lavish Israeli buffet. Lovely pool area and, of course, the views of the sea are wonderful. Good for families that need an 'extra' space or for ayone wanting a beautiful location in a nice hotel.

Room Tip: I beklieve all rooms have a terrace but make sure yours faces the sea!

Only good thing was I lost weight as food was so unpleasant. Dirty carpet in halls, plastic seating in restaurant, filthy loungers at pool. Location excellent, free wifi, everything else substandard I'm afraid

The Blue Bay staff exceeded all expectations. They are warm, helpful, friendly. All the rooms of this property overlook the Mediterranean. They are clean, and staff are constantly cleaning the public areas. Guest service assists with all one's needs. Guests relax on a wide veranda overlooking the sea, or at the pool, or at the beach. The food is unbelievably excellent. We spent four days for the holiday there and did not want to leave. One feels far away from the maddening crowd, yet can leave this wonderland and go into Netanya for nightlife, and can easily drive to Tel Aviv or Haifa for business. Centrally located.

If you have a group, especially an educational tour, I think that the Blue Bay is a great Hotel. I was taking a group of young people on a tour of Israel, we used the Blue Bay, they were very accommodating of our group needs. They provided dietary alternatives to those that needed. They have quite a few conference rooms, we never had trouble planning our evening activities. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was reasonable and the staff were helpful.

Admittedly if you are visiting the Hotel at the height of the peak season (June - August) expect the hotel to have groups and especially young people. It can get a bit rowdy. You have been warned!

Other than that, I would go there 'off peak', its a comfortable and clean place with great staff who seem concerned and are always there to help.
(incidentally my sleep quality was poor due to my own duties to my group, not the standard of room!)

Room Tip: Ask if there is a group staying in the hotel ask to stay far away from them unless you feel particul...

After reading other reports on TripAdvisor re Blue Bay I was undecided, however I decided to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt and booked for this weekend. I urge other people not to make the same mistake as I did.

The suite I was given was OK, a bit rundown but large enough and livable. The pool area needs new sun lounges and does not have enough umbrellas for shade. The canteen adjacent the pool is not always open, the range of food offered is minimal, and the prices are exorbitant.

The food at breakfast was average yet the Friday evening meal was absolutely disgusting and I wouldn’t have fed to my dog.

The hotel is not responsible for the caliber of the guests yet it is responsible for ensuring that the hotel is kept clean – something it did not do despite repeated urgings. The U.S. managers tried their best but the Israeli manager was unhelpful and seemingly incompetent.

I booked this hotel after staying at the Ramada in Netanya last year. The Blue Bay is much closer to the beach than the Ramada but that is its only advantage relative to the Ramada which is a far superior hotel in every way. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Blue Bay.

Any good things to say!! Rooms are super standard and way too expensive for what you get. During our stay, the hotel had 2 very noisy occasions in the outside, and it was impossible to sleep until very late at night/morning. Even after a lot of promises that at 23:00 it will stop, it didn't and not after that...no one cares about you. We ask for the manager, and he/she avoid to response to our request forever!! I have never seen such a unpleasant hotel, and I spend a lot of times in hotels in Israel and abroad.
Food is very bad and simple; cleanliness is very poor! Just stay away!

Room Tip: go to Island or Ramada to have nice room..
