“Wow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

If you've got a car, and are planning on staying near Tel Aviv, it's definitely worth considering Netanya as much as Tel Aviv.

And this hotel is worth a stay.

It's more an apartment than a hotel (there are lots of apartment owners that stay here), but they do have rooms to rent. And these apartments are just fabulous.

Balcony's with amazing views. Living room with seperate bedrooms. And all the amenities you'd expect in your own home.

Breakfast is outstanding. And the hotel gym and pool are just beautiful.

In short, we did not want to leave! It just felt like home! It may seem a little more expensive than other hotels in the area - but certainly worth every penny more!

Room Tip: Every room has a view - but try to get one higher up if you can.

We have just returned 'home' which is around the corner of this fabulous place - 25 stories of stark white and wonderful architecture, spotless and beautiful white and black interiors, huge balconies overlooking a blue blue Meditarranean, walkways (the 'tayelet') winding forever alongside the ocean, sparkling pool right on the sea it seemed, excellent breakfast and more than efficient and willing service.
We cannot thank Lior and everyone at the desk who made this special family holiday with guests from all parts of the world celebrating with us - such a memorable experience! Smiles galore!

The Island is now a year old and has settled in nicely, but it loses a star compared to my last review as the little things aren't done as well as last year. But it remains a class act. The rooms are huge and gorgeous and the views from the spacious wooden balconies spectacular. Service is typically Israeli: friendly but a bit chaotic. It helps if you try a few words of Hebrew. Reception staff are generally excellent and quick to sort things out for you.

There are two areas where the Island loses just a little sparkle: the breakfasts are disappointing by Israeli standards, and service at breakfast often diffident. That said, Friday night dinner was absolutely superb.

The second area which has slipped is housekeeping. The rooms are spotless, but they don't think carefully enough about the number of guests and how many toiletries/soaps they will use every day. So they don't replace daily consumables like soap unless asked - every day - to do so. And often you have to request extra towels.

But these are small gripes in what remains a place we will want to return to and which is simply so much better than any of the traditional Netanya hotels. It has a modern, chilled vibe and if they ever get the much-promised elevator to the beach (currently a 15-minute walk away) it will be even better.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights last month and loved it. I had a room on the 17th floor which was a two-bedroom suite with a large verandah and gorgeous view of Netanya and the Mediterranean. It is located right on the beach promenade with an unobstructed view.

There is ample free parking if you have a car which is a big plus.

Breakfast selection was great with tasty foods of all varieties and good service as well. Rooms are very modern and very well appointed and all have a kitchenette for convenience. There is also a great fitness center at the hotel.

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

I will be returning to the Island Suites Hotel.

Being my first trip to Israel I was a bit apprehensive about accommodations. My mind was put at ease the instant I arrived. The staff was welcoming and incredibly helpful (not only in regards to the hotel but helpful with my overall visit!).

The hotel is... well, INCREDIBLE. I arrived on a weekend and when I walked out on the huge deck outside my room overlooking the Med, hangliders slowly flew past my window! It was beautiful.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and everyone that works there!
