Description: Named after the month it was opened in 2004 ( tishreen is Arabic for October) this sophisticated restaurant has an autumnal atmosphere with its straw-encrusted walls lined with antiques and wine bottles. Locals enjoying long lunches and late dinners order Mediterranean-inspired dishes from the mosaic-tiled wood oven which turns out 'aborigine (aubergine) stuffed with pesto and cheese' as well as excellent muhammar , an Arabic pizza topped with chicken and onion slices

“A new Tishreen, a new location, a new look and new menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

The same owners but a new place.
While you set in the balcony, with a mesmerizing panoramic view of Nazareth, tasting a good wine or a chilly glass of beer you can enjoy the tasty plate that was just prepared by the chef- a local, Mediterranean and international plate prepared with a delicate taste of a young local chef.
Try the grilled selected peace of meet, the tasty plates of deferent local vegetables with cheese, Tahina and vinegar sauce. Many other plates are recommended but its better to ask the waiters about the recommended dish of the day

“Cool and peaceful lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2014

We noticed the TripAdvisor awards in the window and decided to test the system. Inside was cool [a real plus after a few hours on foot in the sun] and quiet. Service was good and the menu offered a variety of dishes including vegetarian. Interestingly the menu had more pages devoted to alcoholic beverages than to food dishes. The food was well presented with lots of fresh vegetables in our stir fry. Mastercard was accepted. As we were leaving we asked directions to an ATM and a young man readily removed his apron and offered to show us the way. We went a few metres down the street before he declared that it was "close-ed". Even if there was no ATM his avid helpfulness was amazing.

“Great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

Tishreen means October in Arabic. The legend says that it was opened in October some 15 years ago by two young ambitious young men who still run the place to date and have recently opened "tishreen 2" in the neighboring nazareth Illit. This restUrNt was the first out of the many restaurants that are putting nazareth in the culinary map of Israel and the region. The food in tishreen is great, never disappointing and always surprising, characterized by fusing eastern food with worldwide trends. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere very relaxing and the prices affordable. It is recommended to book a place in advance, especially on weekend as the place has become very popular among tourists and Jewish guests coming to nazareth, beside the locals who feel at home there
