“0 star hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

This hotel claims to be 5 stars hotel. I would at most rate his hardware as 3 stars and the software (service) is 0 star hotel. We visited Israel as a group and we stayed in this hotel while we tour around Narazeth on 25th December 2012. In other hotels we will leave luggage at the front of door before we went down for breakfast so that the staff in hotel can collect our luggage to the coach. However our hotel guide said that the staff in this hotel often make mistakes and we were asked to carry the luggage to the coach ourselves after breakfast next morning. When we went to have the dinner in the hotel restaurant we experience the 0 star service. There were little customers if any in the whole restaurant except those customers from the groups. The restaurant staff were rude and we were limited to sit in certain tables though there were a lot of empty tables around. The meal was arranged as buffet. The food available was scarce, mainly vegetables. There is only one station with chicken with a hotel staff responsible to serve you. I usually ate little and the chicken did not appeal to me. I went up to that staff and said “give me a little bit”. Guess what he did. He gave me a very very small piece of chicken meat, 1cm x 1mm x 1mm. (about the size of half a toothprick). I said to him, “You are joking?” (Some workers in Isreal are very lazy and felt bored during work and they tried to make fun. Some workers in other hotels made fun of you by pretending to pour coffee on your plate of food while you asked for coffee. Of course he will stop and pour coffee into your cup finally.) However this particular chicken staff did not make any move to give me another portion of teeth. I moved on and he chased after me pretending to help me to remove some "dirt" on my plate. I think he is probably afraid that I will make a fuss after seeing me walking away. He pretended to remove “dirt” from my dish as a way to cover the embarrassment.
This hotel is said to have started building some 10+ years ago but the project was stopped in ?2010 because of unrest and sudden drop in tourism in Isreal. The building was left vacant for years and was once lived by refugees. The building was changed into a shabby condition. Years later the building was refurnished into a hotel. Now this hotel is ranked 2nd in Narazeth. The 1st hotel is a new one with little reviews especially little review in English.
So my advice to those who like to tour around in Narazeth is to find a hotel in Jerusalem and take a day trip to Narazeth without staying in Narazeth.

Room Tip: Avoid hotels in Narazeth

The facilities in the hotel are very convenient.
Service level is very high, and the staff is pleasant and willing to satisfy the guests.
Our room are comfortable and clean. It was big enough, and has big windows to panoramic view.

Nothing great about the place. The lobby is about the nicest part of the hotel. After that, it all goes downhill. Restaurant staff are unfriendly and do not make an effort to hide their displeasure with guest. Food is average and ciuld be a lot more organised.

I won't go into the rooms as it's more motel than hotel. A total overhaul of the rooms need to be done as this place is way past its glory days. Pity, considering that it's in the wonderful town of Nazareth.

Fantastic view to the valley, very testy food, excellent gym and sauna, big rooms with free WIFI, big bathrooms with plenty of towels, shampoo and shower gel.The stuff was very friendly. We had music and dance in the evening. The location is little bit problematic because it's far to downtown and there is now any transport, except the taxi

Good location, excellent view to the valley. Friendly staff that speaks English and Spanish which was helpful for our group of 200 people. Rooms were old but you should try to get an upper floor, if not you will have a view to a cave!

Bathrooms were clean and just fine, nothing great, just to stay for 3 nights. If you are not looking for luxury you will be fine. The lobby which is 5fth floor is fine and you feel like the rooms are going to be great which won't happen.

the room has hairdryer which was great for my wife (and it was a real hairdryer) TV was fine which enough channels in English, Hebrew and Spanish.

Room Tip: Seems that you can get any better there, so for a couple of days is fine. Just ask for a room on the...

Property is very good for tourists (or groups) with pre-arranged sightseeing tour program.
We were in a group of 34 persons and everyone was satisfied with their stay.
Buffet breakfast and dinner was great, swimming pool also looks good though we did not use the facility. Rooms views are great and such a quiet invironment.

Room Tip: Request for a higher floor for a better view. Requesting for a room near the lifts are also advisab...

The rooms are old, too stingy with toiletries, towels needed replacement.
The food are not that great, the service personnel don't speak or understand English.
Aside from their unfriendliness, they are so quick and unmindful in bussing your table which we find rude and unwelcoming.
The only old thing about this hotel is their free wifi in the lobby area..
