1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

There is a new wing of the hotel which is excellent shown in all the official hotel sites, and an old wing which is simply horrible, not shown anywhere.
I got to the hotel with a groop and got a room in the old wing, tiny, dark, smelling unimaginary bad, no way to open the window, in the underground level. If there was not a trench in front of the room, the window was totaly blocked. The 'view' I had at the top level of the window was of the backyard parking place full of trucks, busses, and a big smelly garbage container.
When I got to the reception to complain they became very hostile and rude. They said that they cannot change my room and that I can either stay in my room or use the lobby sofa to sleep. There was no good will to help me or any appology
I left the hotel without staying there.

Room Tip: You have to ask for the new wing. If you have a choice try another hotel

The hotel is a bit overpriced. The deluxe rooms appear to actually be standard, small rooms, small bathroom, no balcony, nothing fancy. However, everything at the hotel is very clean, including public areas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Service teams at the reception, dining room and swimming pool are polite, friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and of large variety. Beautiful view to the Golan heights towards the Lebanese border. Rooms are equipped with a small refrigerator, kettle and tea & coffee kit. The hotel offers discounts for various activities nearby and nice entertainment in the evening.

We sayed at this hotel as part of a tour group. After repeated nights in a supposedly three star accommodations, two nights at this hotel was a nice change of pace. It is not a fancy hotel with a lot of bells and whistles, but it makes up for it with scenery and cleanliness.

The Lebanon border is its back drop, very secluded and peaceful. The night sky will take your breath away. I slept with my window open both nights not worrying about noise pollution, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped.

The food is amazing! We had dinned two night and breakfast both mornings, all served buffet style. EVERYTHING IS FRESH! The fresh squeezed juices were my favorite part.

Over all the Israeli people are very rude, customer service is nothing like that of the US, however the Kibbutz are an exception. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. If I ever visit Israel agin, I will make it a point to spend more time at a Kibbutz.

Room Tip: looking at othe travelers photos, my room was not one of the recently renovated rooms, but still fo...

In the last 2 years many rooms were renovated and upgraded, so make sure you book one of the renovated ones. The non-renovated are quite worn out. Food quality and selection is simply excellent

I had a non renovated room

This hotel was one of the bests of our trip. The room was quite big and really clean. The access to the rooms is not too easy, with ramps and stairs, but it is not a big deal. The space is really pretty with nature and flowers. The staff was friendly and the food was good. They do offer wifi, but only in the lobby.

This was our second visit.
Thumbs up: Food (buffet style) is excellent, plentiful, with huge variety and attentive dining room staff.
Lovely views of northern Israel and the Golan Heights.
Nice sports area with olympic pool (separate lanes for families and serious swimmers), table tennis rooms and sauna.
Rooms were clean, comfortable beds with pillows galore and chamber maid was diligent and efficient.
Special mention to DIA, reception clerk whose warmth, politeness and efficiency stood out as he went out of his way, beyond the call of duty.
Good live bands in the lobby some nights. We heard lovely jazz, for example.
Thumbs down (little things but maybe hotel management will take note): our room had a number of flies (around 7 or 8) buzzing around when we arrived which we eventually managed to chase away with newspapers and determination- hotel offered us an insecticide spray but some kind of simple plug-in electric fly-catcher would have been more appropriate.
Coffee and tea are provided in room but if you want milk, you have to go to the bar and pay 3 IS (just under a dollar) which we thought was petty.
NB Some rooms don't have a safe but you can leave valuables in the hotel safe at reception.
Would not recommend to religious Jews for the Sabbath as there is no religious Shabbat atmosphere, the hotel mainly caters to secular and non-Jewish tourists. However, hotel is fully authorised kosher and there is a synagogue (minyan not guaranteed unless you bring it with).
A great spot to tour the north of Israel from if you have a car and of course, for people who are curious to walk around a real kibbutz, this is a great opportunity.
