We ate here with our two girls, 13 and 11 on a Friday night. The facility is on the marina in Herzliya, part of a larger complex of restaurants and stores. We sat outside on the marina, which I would recommend. Service was friendly, though the servers were very busy and therefore not sufficiently attentive. For example, we tried to get our server's attention for about 10 minutes to change an appetizer order but were unable to do so by the time the appetizers came out. The hostess was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt that were just shy of slovenly--she looked as though she had just come back from a day with her friends at the beach, rather than conveying the demeanor of a professional hostess. The food ranged from okay to very good. The fried calamari appetizer was a standout--tiny very tender calamari with delicious seasoning and a mayonnaise based dip. We also ordered the Caesar salad and chicken, minus the chicken as we were having it as an appetizer -it was pretty good, though it lacked "zing." We were also irritated to find that they charged us full price even though it did not have the chicken. For entrees we had the cheese ravioli (x2 for the kids), seafood linguine and gnocchi with pesto sauce. The gnocchi was terrific--excellent consistency, chewy/soft, not rubbery, and a delicious pesto. The other pastas were okay--not helped by a tomato sauce base that tasted not too different from Chef Boyardee. although the seafood in the linguine was tender and tasty. Overall, not bad, especially considering that this was our default after discovering that a favorite restaurant had closed. If they could significantly improve their service and their tomato sauce, we'd be more enthusiastic. As is, we'd eat here again in a pinch, but probably not otherwise.
