“Nice if you like a tour of a working kibbutz”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

The kibbutz offers accommodation in hotels and bungalows. We stayed in a bungalow away from views. Nothing special but clean. There is a beach, however, access to water is via a pebble bottom -- quite painful. There are two walkaways on the sea, one with benches and fine views.

This hotel is used by many tours.

IMHO, the main attraction is a self-guided tour of the kibbutz. One can see their businesses (cows and citrus plantations) and see how people live.

Room Tip: If staying in a bungalow, try to get a room facing large lawns

The rooms were decent and the staff is friendly enough. Plentiful choices for dinner and breakfast. The property is right on the Sea of Galilee and shares grounds with the Galilee boat exhibition. Quiet in the evening and morning, a beautiful spot for an evening stroll.

The downside is meal times. The food is fine but there are hundreds of people running through line, you almost feel like cattle at feeding trough in buffet lines at Ponderosa Steak House in the USA. It was fine for a group stay, but no way would I stay here if it were just me and my wife.

Nof Ginosar was described in our Road Scholar Source Book from Keshet as a "Guest House" as opposed to a hotel. A charge to Discover describes it as a motel.

It's a sort of hybrid. Basic rooms and amenities. Clean, and everything in the room worked (unlike say Prima Kings in Jerusalem).

Staff were polite and friendly. Compliments on their ability to serve so many tour groups in an efficient fashion for breakfast and lunch.

Rooms do not have a built-in safe which is a downside that will be reported to Road Scholar. Secure storage was available (for a fee) at reception.

Overall, a good stay in basic surroundings.

It was nice to stay on the Kibbutz right near the shores of the Sea of Galilee - great location. Their food for breakfast and dinner was excellent with many delicious choices. Their lettuce was my favorite - very healthy. The rooms were passable and it felt like I was staying in a dormitory.

Located on the north west end of Sea of Galilee this sprawling hotel is run by a local Kibbutz. It obviously caters to large tour groups which can be a blessing or a curse. They are well equipped to handle large groups quickly and food quality and service is very good. This grounds have excellent access to the sea with a nice land pier amid small beach. While location to the sea is good the hotel in not within walking distance of any shopping or city areas with Tiberias being several miles away. Hotel units are two story buildings scattered around the property. The office and restaurant are located centrally in a separate building. The hotel seems well suited for local wedding, parties, etc. as well as tour groups overnighting to spend days touring Galilee and the Golan Heights. Advantages are the open space and quietness. Disadvantage is no within walking distance to anywhere. Free wifi only in lobby area and gets overwhelmed when lots of large tour buses unload. Internet available for purchase in rooms. Very friendly staff. We inadvertently left a curling iron in the room and call back 2 days later to inquire about it. The hotel staff had it in lost and found and arranged for another tour guide to bring it to us on the way to Elat. My wife was extremely please to get it back. We were very grateful and pleased with their helpfulness.
This is a 2 1/2 star hotel. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.

The rooms in this kibbutz hotel are clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi is free of charge in the lobby and cafe area. The grounds are lovely. This hotel is located at the edge of the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and is just outside of Tiberias. This is a great alternative to Tiberias hotels which are for the most part unimpressive.

Very clean and comfortable rooms, nice restaurant with very efficient service (400 people served in 2 hours) very good food. But the location is the best. Right next to the 1st century boat museum and the ship docks for tours on the sea of gallilee. All the important sites of the bible are nearby and it's all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this place.
