“Great family place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Nice fish and pasta. Great freshly baked Focaccia. Nice view of the Crusader wall and other ruins. A little pricey, but most things in Caesarea are.

“Unimpressed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

This restaurant needs some serious lessons in service. The waitress did not bring my husband and me the water and bread that we requested until at least 5-10 minutes after we ordered. Then, less than a minute after bringing us the water and bread, she brought us our appetizer TOGETHER with our mains. This was the first experience we had in an Israeli restaurant where the appetizer and mains were not staggered over the course of the meal. (The quality of the food is a separate issue: I personally would not recommend the ravioli with walnuts and black olives; our appetizer and personal pizza were just mediocre.) What's more, this is the only kosher restaurant in the Caesarea Port, and it would be disappointing if Aresto does not feel the need to maintain high standards of service and quality because they know that kosher diners will be forced to patronize them anyway. All in all, this was a very underwhelming and disappointing dining experience, especially because, given its location and appearance, Aresto has the potential to be a wonderful restaurant. Until the service and quality of the food improve, we would not recommend this restaurant.
