“Good food, but overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2014

We went here to celebrate my partner's birthday. The food is good, I can say great. The prices are way to high for what is offered. If you want to drink alcohol, than better get something before you go there. 2 glasses of wine, from which one of the glasses was poured much less, because the bottle was nearly empty costed around 30 Euros. For a two person dinner we paid 70 euros+30 euros the 2 glasses of wine. For Beer Sheba is way to expensive place.

Hospitality and really delicious! Individualized menu for customers. The service is also very good ! And the prize is acceptable! It's really a good experience in Israel!

“Great meal, attentive service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

We found this restaurant through another Trip Advisor review. The neighborhood was not great, and we were hesitant to go in…but we are so happy that we did! The Chef and manager, Ben-Moyal Beber, was charming. He asked what we liked and asked us to trust his selections. The food was outstanding and easily one of the best meals - and a fantastic value - we had in the 2 weeks we spent in Israel. Ben-Moyal checked back with us often to make sure we were happy, and we absolutely were. We ate fish and chicken, since we were not interested in the internal organ menu (i.e., veal tonsils, spinal bone marrow, grilled veal spleen, cooked Moroccan brain, Calf's stomach stew) or the turkey or bull testicles…but it made for an entertaining Facebook post! Don't let the unusual selection listed above deter you from going to this restaurant…it was truly a wonderful meal and memorable event.

“Unforgettable combination of delicious food with genuine hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

This place is a true find both for the exceptional food and gracious host. The ethereal couscous is a must, we got the version with vegetables. The host exudes a genuine hospitality and wish to spoil you, the diner, with a beautiful meal. I ordered the oxtail stew and the host convinced me to try some brain stew too, needless to say both were delicious. I should mention the small plates at the beginning of the meal were also perfect for whetting the appetite with combinations of salty, sour, spicy, and sweet. The meal ended with a selection of house-made sweets and hot mint tea, if you still had room!

“Best couscous ever.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

This place is unique on so many levels: First of all, the service is impeccable. The owner/chef visits with you at the table, discusses the dinner options and then prepares something tailored to your wishes and needs. In our case, I am vegetarian, my wife eats little. So he made two half portions of the meat stews such that she could try them both. Awesome.

The mezze dishes were delicious. The smokiness of the eggplant makes my mouth still water. Dates+oranges+almonds+rose water are a sin to the senses. Absolutely perfectly tickling out the flavors of the salty dishes. The bread was delivered freshly baked. So hot you could barely touch it.

My main course was a veggie couscous. If you have never tried hand-made fresh couscous, you do not know what heavenly light tastes like. And once you have eaten it, you will *never* eat dried couscous again in your life. This man is plain evil for serving these dishes! In addition, my wife had the veal brain stew (spicy, please try it. Don't be scared. It is awesome!) and the oxtail stew. She finished it all. Not sure where it went, but it was gone.

Dessert is traditionally served with mint tea and on the house. Delicious pralines and baked goods (fried sweet dough).

Overall a unique experience that I always look forward to when I come to this town. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. And for $35/person this is a steal for the quality and quantity of food.
