I stayed at the hotel for four nights whilst on recent trip recently and found it to be good value for money. if you’re doing business in the local mine or elsewhere on the island it is a very pleasant place to stay, but it is very remote (approx 3km to the nearest township).
that isolation is a benefit though if you are here on holidays and are content to sit back and do absolutely nothing, or if you are a keen surfer with plenty of uncrowded beaches and breaks.
the hotel is now managed by a couple of Australian surfers under the nomad surfers banner http://www.nomadsurfers.com/en/asia/indonesia/sumbawa/surfcamp/154.html and the chef is also Australian but does cook some great Asian and international foods
from a facilities point of view it would probably be considered a three star resort, but the food and service would rate higher than that
certainly worth the visit and better than the other two hotels nearby
