We unfortunately are cutting our holiday to Gilli Trawangan short due to the ill treatment of the horses used for the transport of tourists. The horses are malnourished, work long hours with no water or food, are emaciated and expected to cart heavy ill balanced loads. They are foaming at the mouth, have splayed legs and bleeding hooves. It is very very distressing.
We also went snorkelling today and were taken to apparent top snorkelling sites that was dead coral and we were expected to go swimming amongst plastic bags and polystyrene. Really not cool.
