Stayed here for 3 nights and I particularly liked the outdoor shower area. The sea was rough at the beach and so, many of us lazed by the pool, when we were not out in the sea.

Service was average and the hotel was not memorable otherwise.

Lombok Holiday resort is a 4 star property. Hence we were met by a porter and stepped into a very nice marble lobby. The staff soon checked us in within minutes we were in our room ground floor as requested. I paid only $50US for the "exotic promotion chalet room" on wotif, much cheaper than other booking sites and direct hotel booking and we were more than happy with this price for 4 * accommodation. You get free welcome drinks at the bar at a time to suit, a free 10 minute trial massage as well. Children under 12 are free unless you want an extra bed ($25US) but I could see from photos there was a small sofa for my young child so we did not need to pay the extra for a bed for her. The room is spacious, plenty of attractive lamps, huge wardrobe, dressing table, 2 armchairs and coffee table, king size bed, art work, outdoor patio with seating and a large semi open bathroom with bathtub shower over and the outdoor section has wooden slats overhead for complete privacy and is also screened. Soap, shampoo, shower cap and shower gel is provided and they will bring any other essential toiletry item you may have forgotten free of charge. We can see the beach from our room 542 and it is about a 2 minute walk to the restaurant, beach and pool. The hotel is well maintained with basic maintenance happening while we are here. They also do a good job of fogging to reduce the mosquito population. There is a small gift shop with reasonable prices, a 'drink' shop with some alcohol both local and imported and soft drinks, ice blocks etc. There is a dive centre as well. These are downstairs from the lobby. Upstairs there is a small shop which sells a selection of local and imported pearls. Once again reasonable prices. The pool is very attractive and has a large spa and also a very nice swim up pool bar on a higher level from the main pool. The surrounding garden is in full bloom with frangipani and bouganvilia. There are hundreds of coconut trees which are all numbered. I suppose this makes it much more practical to ensure the coconuts are regularly removed before they become dangerous missiles. Up the far end of the beach within hotel grounds there are tanks with turtle hatchlings. The hotel put them in here and raise them for one month in an attempt to increase the survival rate. You can pay 40,000rp to release a turtle. The hotel also has a kids club and well maintained playground. The kids club is free for up to 2 hours and then has various packages ie all day including lunch and various activities for around 65,000rp. Pony rides which are 11am - 12pm each day are free for children. The beach has a few waves and people can be seen snorkeling a little further out past the wave break.

We stayed 3 nights at the Holiday Resort. We took the Gilicat from Bali over to Lombok. Once you get to the harbor, make sure that you have transport to your hotel. We failed to do that and paid the price...180,000 rupiah! The guys waiting for arriving travelers will tell you that you can't get a taxi and the resort is really far thus having to pay an expensive price. Don't let them scam you. Call the local taxi number in Lombok if you need transport. I think it's the Blue Bird taxi. Come to find out at the end of the trip, it was only about 50,000 rupiah for a taxi to take us to the harbor for a 30 minute ride. As far as the hotel, it was very peaceful compared to Bali. Not too much of a night scene which was expected. We did take advantage of booking the snorkeling trip to the Gili islands with Blue Marlin Divers. The cost was US $30 for a day trip which included the snorkeling equipment. It was a lot of fun. The buffet breakfast was great and the restaurant was not too bad either. I would suggest going into Senggigi to have dinner. The beach and pool was nice. We enjoyed our relaxed visit in Lombok.

Hi, we have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Holiday Resort Lombok. We took the Gili cat (fast boat) from Bali arriving at Teluk Kode port approximately 60 mins later. it is then aroun a 30 min drive to the resort itself, it does take a bit of effort to get there but Lombok is beautiful and well worth the effort.
The Holiday resort is a really nice family orientated hotel- although there were still plenty of couples as well. We travelled with our 22 month old son and loved the fact that he had plenty of space to run around, play and kick the ball. The grounds and gardens are kept beautifully, enhancing the beauty of this magical place.
We stayed in a beachfront bungalow which was very clean (thanks to Oki, the wonderful cleaner) the room was very spacious and had a wonderful outdoor bathroom complete with toilet and shower.
The pools are very nice although being peak season it was sometimes difficult to get a sunlounge around the pool as people tend to put their towels out before breakfast to secure a spot and then not return until whenever!!!
We found the beach very nice and my husband is into bodyboarding and he found the waves better down the beach a little outside Quinci Pool Villas.
Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, the only thing that I could complain about is the toaster. It is a standard 4 slice toaster that takes forever...and people don't always want to wait their turn....they definately need to invest in one of the wizz bang conveyor belt types.
There is a beautiful horse called Mona-Lisa that arrives at the kids club at 10.30am each morning to take the little ones for a pony ride, our little cherub Noah thought she was great. Unfortunately we did not find out about her until our second last day (they do not list any activities or events) so that was a shame.
But overall the hotel is really nice, it is 4kms out of Senggigi which is easily accessable by taxi and cheap to get to. The Asmara restaurant serves a really nice meal, but there are lots of places to eat in Senggigi.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, the staff are pleasant and friendly- it is a shame more people are not writing reviews about it as there seems to be plenty of people staying there.
