“Awesome guesthouse in Bajawa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We stayed 2 nights at this VERY CLEAN guesthouse. It is located just as you enter the town, in easy walking distance to the nearby restaurants. We were welcomed with coffee made from a French Press, very tasty! The Dutch owner at first seemed a bit stand-offish, but once we starting talking to him, he was happy to dispense with information. Highlights of our stay included the fast WIFI, nice breakfast (there is one table outside on the veranda, very nice to watch the people and bikes go by), and hot shower water. As Bajawa is higher in elevation than many other towns in Flores, it is cooler at night and quite comfortable. My favorite thing about HAPPY HAPPY were the beautiful halogen bedside lights (in contrast to most hostels which simply have an overhead fluorescent light). It was such a treat to read in bed with nice focused lighting!

This place is a safe bet. It is nicely decorated and clean. We had a large room with a double and single beds. The hot water is plentiful. Breakfast is better than average. There is even wifi. It is close to the road so we awoke at 430 with traffic. However, it is a good location in some ways as in you can walk to a decent restaurant nearby- Ditos. Avoid Carmellias. The owners could be a little more happy happy, but I would recommend it.

I slept 2 nigths in bajawa, 1 night i spent in Edelweiss and the other one in this hotel.
For me this hotel is better, but i dont like too much the behaviour of the owner. but maybe i met her in no good time.
by the way if you travell in Bajawa i can suggest this place, the position is good and quite in the night.

Recently stayed in this Dutch owned establishment in Bajawa, and found the guesthouse very comfortable and helpful owners. The rooms are clean and the beds nice to rest your body, a little tired maybe from the trips to the surrounding villages. The breakfast is excellent value, and comes
with a fresh fruit selection, eggs at your choice, toasted bread, and even a slice of cheese.
Plus, the friendly owners can arrange trips and tours in the area.Truly, a place to recommend!

Clean hotel near the center of Bajawa run by a dutch family. Hot water bathroom and clean sheets. There is a fan, but ypu don't need airco because temperature at night drop to a comfortable level. Excellent breakfast. Good trips available by staff. Nice area for walking and excursions. Helpfull in arranging transport. Friendly and helpdull staff. Best place to stop while traveling through Flores.

I spent one night at Happy Happy. The hotel is run by a Dutch couple and an Indonesian couple. I met the Dutch couple who were both friendly and offered helpful advice about restaurants in the area. The hotel is clean, has WiFi, and hot water. The breakfast is substantial with a nice plate of fresh fruit. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

We stayed 2 nights at the Happy Happy end of August / beginning of September. This little family hotel is a beautiful and clean place. Marie, who welcomed us with a coffee on our arrival (just what we needed) is very hospital and helpful, if we had any questions ur was also up just for some nice little chat.

We felt very comfortable during our stay, enjoyed the really gut breakfast and the nice rooms. We could easily walk into the center of the village (e.g. to the market) or to some few recommendable restaurants close to the hotel.

Absolutely recommended for a nice stay in Bajawa!
