“Basic Hotel, Nice people”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

It's a basic Hotel to stthay one or two nights just to pay a visit to the surroundings. Personal correct and friendly. Facilities a little disastrouus but on the average of Flores budget acomodations. Breakfast is discreet. Don't arrange tour with the guys in the door. ask in the market. There are not tour offices or transport ofices in Bajawa. The transport to Moni or Ruteng must be arranged in the Hotel counter and they will phone to the bus terminal so that they pick you up in fron of the Hotel.

... staff is friendly, but the rooms are basic. Our room smelled of moist, so we had to open the window for a while for some fresh air. Toilet is oke, cold shower. Its not really clean, but have seen worse in Asia. For a few days it was oke. First they showed the more expensive room, but when we said it was to much, they offered us an other room for 120000 ruphias. A room for 3 persons (with an extra bed) was 150000. The double room with hot water was (I thought) 250000 rupiahs.

There were very cold in the hotel. And there weren't any hot water. Despite of this hotel was advised by Lonely Planet we can say that you'd better find other place to sleep.

Stayed here because we had to check out of the Bintang Wisata when a street party next door reached 200 decibels, and was not scheduled to close down before 1.00am!

Korina was then the only option, because the Eidelweiss was full.

The room was OK, but breakfast was dreadful. Picture two pieces of sliced white bread, daubed with margarine, and decorated with chocolate sprinkles.

Hotel staff all ran and hid when we had a problem with the non-switching off of the electricity generator, sited next door to our room.

Annoyingly this hotel charged us Rp 90 for the night; it was just about worth half that.
