“Miraculous spring (holy) water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Our family & frens visited this shrine 4 times. It is amazing to witness and experience the spring water coming from the btottom of our Lady's statue...non-stop. People from all over the world visited and experienced many healings.
The architecture is most fabulous dipicting the culture , custom & of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhist & Christians.
There are rooms for staying with just some donation. The Priest responsible for this wonder is Fr. James Bharataputra.
You must esperience this with you familis & frens. God bless us all.

“Interesting Architecture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

A fusion of Indian temple and church architecture, this building has an interesting design. You can see some students studying at wooden tables prepared in the hall. It was quite full of visitors when we were there. There was also a holy water collection at the back of the building. Worth a visit when in Medan.

“A very Special Church”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

From the outside of the church, it looks like a indian temple but it is actualy a catholic church. On the side of the wall, it painted what God had created in the first 7 days. There are also holywater at the side that you can collect and drink them. This is definitely a place worth visiting.

“A Place for Pilgrimage ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

The Catholic Church was located at Medan Sunggal area, easy access. Parking lot was wide enough to fit many vehicles.

It had a Mogul architecture, very unique and beautiful, in the midst of Medan Malay culture. The Church building and area were full of Biblical symbols. There were seven colors dominating the outer building: black, grey, white, red, green, blue and golden yellow. Each color had deep meaning: Black for Sin/Darkness, Grey for Repentance, White for Holiness, Red for Self-Sacrifice, Green for Life, Blue for Heaven and Golden Yellow for Divine Glory. Or, "Sinful man, through Repentance, through Self-Sacrifice, can have his true Life, to become Holy like God, to enter Heaven and eternal Glory."

Once entering the entrance gate, on the asphalt surface, we could see a human figure in black, prostrating and outstretching his arms, symbolizing humility and repentance. Then, in front of the Church building, there was a fountain, symbolizing Jacob's Well. The church's exterior and interior was full of reliefs, paintings and ornaments. Stories from Bible, Saints, Angels, Apostles, and of course, The Christ. Very beautiful and deep. There was also natural spring inside the Maria chapel, at the bottom of statue. The spring's water was to have a healing quality.

This is a place for pilgrimage, journey for the Soul ...
