“Dive Resort with Great Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

The dive resort is about slightly more than an hour's drive away from Manado airport. Stayed there for five days. Attitude of the hotel and dive centre staff are great, always trying their best to accommodate to guests' needs, be it a change of rooms or helping to carry dive gears back to the room from the dive centre. Was staying in a pool view room which is rather spacious and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is large too, but the cleanliness has great room for improvement. The sink looked dusty and had water stain marks, the bathtub had bad stain marks too. The air-con unit is noisy. Enjoyed the barbecued dinner, daily morning charcoal-grilled toast and alacarte lemon steamed fish, otherwise food can be improved both on board and in the restaurant. The wifi service connection was down several times.

“diving resort about 25 km out of Manado”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

A nice diving resort 25 km out of Manado, direct on the beach. It's a pity that cleaning of the footpaths and sidewalks doesn't have more attention.
Nice bungalows, clean and well equiped. Internet, wifi, only in the lobby, not a very nice place to do your @mails.

Room Tip: pick the seaview bungalows, nice view and quit

HI Gert,

We Thank you for your reviews. At the moment we are still upgrading our seaview room and will move towards the footpath as you mentioned. we have added more lighting along the the path as well. We agree that Wifi is an increasingly on demand and we are actively sourcing for a service provider who can cater our need to make it available. As you said, being further from the city increases the difficulty level. But we are on it. Thank you again and rest assure we are on top of it.

“Great service always willing to go the extra mile.great place for divers!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Always willing to go the extra mile to customise anything to make yr day. I travel with kids n we went diving , the hotel prepare kids friendly meal ie fish n chips n fried chicken for my fussy kids.hotel mgr just want to make yr day n that was the experience we got.great place to stay if u planning to do diving /snorkelling n very kids friendly place . However their library n kids games is in bad shape but since we were diving /snorkelling everyday our kids didn't spend too much time lazing around anyway..I always love staying in a place where the people made the difference n this is the place :)

“Great combination of resort and diving”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We came to the hotel as part of a Lembeh and Bunaken two centre dive holiday for a group of dive photo enthusiasts. My wife and I chose to stay in a beach front room our first impression was of a nice looking hotel blending reasonably well into its rural surroundings. It has an impressive large pool and swim up bar and you make your way passed these to the dive centre and beach front rooms. A jetty extends out to a bar and restaurant. The jetty bar is perfectly placed for a drink at sunset. The jetty provides access to the small marina where local fishing boats and the dive centre boats are moored. When we returned each day after diving we were greeted on the jetty with refreshing drinks. The jetty bar is perfectly placed for drinks at sunset and it was very pleasant having breakfast here looking out towards Bunaken. On entering the beach front room my first reaction was of a nicely decorated, furnished and spacious room, bathroom ok. There was a day bed outside but there was landscaping between our room and a direct view to the beach. Overall though the beach rooms have an appealing rustic appearance and great location minutes from the beach and jetty and despite the landscaping the view was still pleasant. The outstanding factor to this resort was the manager Dan and also the restaurant manager (Sorry cant remember name) both highly visible and always asking if there is anything they can do to to improve your stay an ethos that was seemingly passed to their staff (loved the idea of a gardner who having found me keen to learn some local phrases was only too happy to test my knowledge of the local language each morning). They offered us a special dinner by the poolside, beach barbecue (sadly rained off last minute (but without fuss entertainment and food moved to jetty restaurant) and on a number of occasions due to the size of our group we were offered the chance to eat on the jetty rather than the main restaurant. As we were photo enthusiasts Dan arranged an early morning visit to the local market where we found some great subjects. So if there is something you would like to do might be worth emailing in advance to see if they can accommodate it. We spent most of our time diving so not sure what else is in the surrounding are. The hotel has its own dive centre Tasik Divers on site run by Monica. As experienced divers we have our own kit so i can only comment on Boats, guide ratio and variety of sites. The boats leave from the hotel jetty and depending on how far they go depends on whether lunch is on board. Apart from a night dive we had one of the large boats which had dive kit area, saloon and sun deck, We had about about a dozen in our party and there were about three guides on board but we had plenty of room for kitting up. Overall impression nice boat. Guide ratio was about 1 to 4 which was excellent and on the night dive at our request we had one to two. I believe guiding to be a very personal thing some people seem to like to be shown everything others are happy to search for themselves and some just want to be shown particular things of note and the route to and from the boat. Our group made it clear as we did on arrival at other locations we abide by a no touching policy. Personally i was very happy with our guiding. Between the local sites and those of Bunaken there is plenty of variety including walls sort of muck diving and a wreck providing plenty of photo opportunities coral and marine life .
So in conclusion as divers we had a great time and we would definitely consider returning.

Many thanks on behalf of myself and all the staff here for your kind comments. Its something we all work hard for..to give our customers the best holiday we can. When people are willing to try new experiences and be out of their "comfort zone" it makes it all the more fun. From the diving to the tours and everything in between, the staff here are all part of the same team and we can safely say we are looking forward to having back to stay with us ....

“An excellent stay, even if you don't dive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

My family stayed here at the beginning of October. We had a great time. We stayed in a poolside room, which was very good. It was big enough for the whole family, and very comfortable. The view of the pool from the little balcony was lovely. The pool itself was fantastic, very clean, and my kids loved it (as did we!). I also had a massage at the spa, which was very good. The spa is in a separate area, which is like a lovely oasis.
The breakfast was good, down at the pier, so you got a view with breakfast as well. We had a day snorkelling with the dive boat. THe dive staff were excellent, and accomodated the snorkeller very well (including our little kids!). All staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, and loved the kids. WE also really enjoyed the food. All round fantastic place.
