We specifically went to this restaurant having read the reviews and being fans of sate. We only had one night in Manado en route to Bali. We arrived at around 7pm and the place was quite quiet (Sunday night). We opted for the no smoking area, which was a separate room with glass windows looking across the main restaurant, and it was beautifully air conditioned.
The menu is very extensive, and includes many sate choices, including fish and vegetarian options.
We chose seared tuna, prawn, squid, chicken and beef sate, nasi and mie goreng, sweet and sour fish, plus a few other chicken mains. It was a bit embarrassing when they had to pull up another table to load all our food onto!!
With six large beers and four soft drinks, the whole meal came to around £10 per person. Unbeatable, and totally delicious. By the time we left, the place was really busy.
