“No water for shower!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012 via mobile

We stayed in room 5303. Don't take rooms from that block. The shower trickled only a few drops of water that I didn't have a proper shower for 2 days.
Food was slightly below average. However, if you are looking for a relaxing place to read one whole novel, this this the place to go. The resort is like way out from civilization. So if you want to shop and paint the town red.. Forget it!

Went there few days back, checked into the hotel finding couple of flying beetles (abt 3-4) flying around and killed 6 Mosquitos in 5mins...
Nothing much to do around there and things Are charged in sgd.
Don't be shocked if u see ur bill with sgd written somewhere.

Stayed here in October with my girlfriend... We got the rate through Groupon voucher, which was rather cheap for a Bintan stay.... Here's why:

On our way to the hotel (which was quite far from the ferry terminal), our mini bus broke down in the middle of nowhere... Those who had been to Bintan, you should know how dim and dark their roadside were... About 20 guests were stranded for over 30mins... While some complained that they were bitten by mosquitoes or grumbled for the late back-up transfer, I was more concerned about our safety... What if a high-speed vehicle could not see us by the roadside under the dim lights?? And there was a strong petrol smell coming out from the mini bus while we waited... I was hoping that it would not explode...

Checking-in was quite fast upon arrival... The hotel and rooms were quite old and run down... I did not take any pictures of the room as I did not like it... Room was rather spacious with a balcony and bath tub in the washroom... Our room was facing the sea and pool, which I thought it would be much nicer if this hotel was not so run down... The sunrise was gorgeous and that was the only picture I took at the hotel... Staff and service were average... Wi-fi connection was available only in the common premises like the restaurant and lobby... I did not try any of the facilities in this hotel...

Having said that, I did enjoy their room service food and the variety of their TV channels... If you are a big Hindi movie and MTV fans like me, you would like this hotel... Other than that, I do not see any other reason for coming back here...

Thank you for staying at Bintan Agro Beach Resort & Spa on your previous holiday. We apologize deeply for the inconvenience that happened during the land transfer. Our transportation department has taken note and action after this incident and we hope that this incident will not happen again in the future.
our resort is currently undergoing renovation work to improve our facilities, as for thethe Wi-Fi, we are trying to improve the connection speed and quality. We apologize that not all of our rooms can access to Wi-Fi due to poor communication signal by the internet service provider. We hope that in the coming future, we may be able to provide Wi-Fi service at every corner of the resort.

We also want to invite you to come again and enjoy the stay at our sister resort Bintan Cabana Beach Resort. You may try the Suite room which is located above the sea, and we will be glad to extend discount for you*

Went for a weekend stay with a friend and after reading the reviews was a little apprehensive. I was pleasantly surprised! It was clean and the staff was very nice. The beach was not very big at all but the pool was decent and clean. If you're not expecting a 4 or 5 star resort, you won't be disappointed.

The Spa services were excellent! The pricing was good too. Would go back for that alone!

The only thing that I was disappointed about was the food. They were out of simple things like french fries and Coke. Their local food was delicious and fairly priced.

I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the ocean on the first floor were the best in my opinion.

Stayed at Blue Ocean Suite and it's highly recommended as it offers unparallel sunrise view from the balcony. The suite is huge & clean. Most importantly, quiet.
Staff at the resort are friendly and helpful. Food served at both restaurants are highly palatable.
Went snorkeling off White Sands Island at S$45. Water clarity and marine life are fairly good.
The resort accepts Singapore Dollars.

Room Tip: There are only 4 Blue Ocean Suites in the resort but it's highly recommended to stay in one of t...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

The Resort is situated 1 hour away from the Bintan Ferry Terminal. Transport can easily be arranged with the hotel by informing them the departure time from Singapore.

The hotel is far away from the rest of the resorts which is only few minutes away from the Ferry Terminal.

The Junior Suite which i was staying in is unlike other rooms, located on the sea. The has a small balcony area which i can enjoy the sea breeze and a huge glass window for me to look out into the open from my room. Totally a plus point for me.
Amenities are all of standard thus nothing worth mentioning.

Wanted to dine at the SunMoon Restaurant, but the price they are charging is absurd! 23,000 Rupiah per oz of crab. Thats equaivalent to almost $100SGD per Kilo of crab! We skipped that restaurant and went to the buffet restaurant for our meals instead. The price for the buffet restaurant is fair and the food quality is good. Should you want to be advanturous, you can try walking out of the resort, you can find good restaurant within walking distance of the resort that sells REALLY CHEAP seafood. For a group of 11 pax, we had all sort of seafood and only paid about $12SGD per pax MAX.

The staff seems to want to rush us thru Water Sports such as flying fish, banana boat, big mable, etc. Doesn't seem to be worth the money for those activities. Snorkling at the White Sand Beach is quite good. For $40SGD, you get about 2 hours of snorkling and 1 hour of free time at the beach where you can play Beach volley ball or just enjoy the Sun and free drinks they offer on the small little island.

Staff in the resort are all very friendly and helpful which is a really big plus when you are travelling to relax your mind. Would definitely visit there again!
