“Breathtaking Sunset”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Firstly, do this only if you have
1. Arranged a driver for 1 day. (It's about 45mins drive subject to traffic from Batam City)
2. Want a different cultural view of actual Batam locals.

For me, I did and I don't regret.
Because
a) The bridge is spectacular and a magnificent piece of architecture.
But incomplete? What a pity.
b) On the bridge there were street hawkers and the locals would gawk at foreigners looking lost at this part of town.

Tip: Try the local "Rujak" (see my pictures) and it is absolutely delicious. We tried ours at a hawker stall names "Gendut Rujak". He speaks a little English and you will appreciate his 'showmanship' when making the dish.

PS: Do cross the bridge and have dinner at one of the local seafood restaurants. Cheap crabs!

“View while eating a Crab or Shrimps”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

The view is very nice and buying crabs or shrimps from a street vendor is a definite experience. For those who do not like spicy dips so much you can just go for the food. Some also sell junk food and drinks for those hot days. Our driver told us many jump off that bridge to commit suicide. Really don't miss out on taking pictures.

“Why people park their vehicles on the bridge?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Batam has ignorance people. They don't bother to think it is dangerous to park 100+ vehicles on the bridge.

The bridge itself has a beautiful view. Like to spend some times there.
