“Clean and good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

Hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly. The hotel has been renovated and has cleaner beds. They serve welcome drinks like Coke can drinks. Theres ample of parking space too. There is a newly opened dimsum restaurant in the hotel as well. The breakfast is not that extravagant but its okay for the price we paid. Overall, its worth the stay.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

After undergoing a change of ownership, the hotel has a new name - but not a new facade. At first the lobby of the hotel looked promising. But as we stepped into the lift and on our room floor, there was a stale smell. This extended all the way to the room. You could tell that the hotel needed a whole lot of renovation. The carpets were stained and dusty, and many fixtures were undone.

The first room we were given was not even cleaned up yet. It was like the previous guest just left five minutes before we came in. We requested for another room, and this time, the toilet did not work... The third time, the manager took over and told us they did not have enough time to clean the rooms. So she told us to wait for about 20 mins while placating us with fries and sugared orange juice. We decided to wait out for the third time to be given the first room we were offered initially, only it was made up now.

The room had a very stale smoky smell throughout. There were stains on the bedsheets. The curtains were also dusty and stained. There was one old television, that had many channels. The bathroom was not scrubbed properly. Even though they have a new name now, they were still using toiletries under the previous name. The breakfast was from 6 - 10am, and the spread was very limited, about 4 dishes. When we reached the small restaurant at about 8 am, 3/4 of the food was gone. When we asked, they said they don't do refills.

One good thing about the hotel was its location. It's about a 5 minute drive to Nagoya Hill Mall (one of their major ones), and other family-friendly massage spas. I hope that the bad state of the hotel will be improved in time under the new management. But I do not think I will go back here again. There are better hotels close by.
