Lovely timber villas scattered on the hill. Very quiet and more of a getaway for Batam expats and Singaporeans . Most villas are owned actually. You'll need to do a bit of walking to get around. There were no mozzies when we were there but best to prepare just in case. We brought food after reading the reviews but ended up eating most of the time at Turi Beach which is a neighbouring hotel. Food was good but there were flies. You get to use the facilities in Turi and Nongsa Marina which was great. 3 for the price of one so we spent little time at the villa actually. The beach at Turi was the best and you can actually walk from Nongsa Marina to Turi via a path. You can get from one place to another with the hotel transport too. Breakfast was served at Nongsa daily. Lovely place for a few days getaway especially since it is far from the madding crowd. The spa at Turi is a makeshift one at the moment as it is under reno hence the low rating. But the massage was good nonetheless.
