“Once Not Enough”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014 via mobile

I was frustrated with groupon for all the hidden cost, however, Sijori Resort Manage to make it up for it. Well, i wouldn't recommend this resort to the elderly and disabled as it is quite a hassle to go to the room. Sijori Resort are for couples and young at heart to get out of the hectic lifestyle in Singapore. I will also recommend this to photographers who would like to snap picture of the environment. You don't need a pretty/handsome model to get a good picture because the environment at Sijori Resort will enhance the picture. I have to give a non-stop applause to the service by sijori resort as they will make you guys feel like a ling and you girls feel like a queen. Go and check it out yourself. An experience that you can grab at only Sijori Resort Batam. Facilities such as Golf Range, Swimming Pool, Pool table, Massage Spa, Karaoke and etc are available.

Book a family and deluxe connecting room for two nights. It's the worst ever resort I have ever stayed even for the price was not worth at all. You practically book to bore yourself to death. Its so quiet at night it seems so hunted. Luckily I had a rented car to take me outside wherever I want, as in to eat and shop. The resort is poorly maintain and the pool pump was not even working making the pool water so milky. Resort facilities are very limited and poorly maintain. I only can say the resort is waiting to close shop. I am shock that it is under Singapore management and these people must wake up should they think of surviving. The shower was in bad condition so is the water pump and heater. No internet was available and neither any 24hrs staff or room service. I cannot express how boring and regretful I was after checking into this hotel. From the reception and pool you have to climb like a mountain to get to your chalet. Lord...imagine how tired I was after that walk up the stairs. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Breakfast was really bad and much limited...fried rice, fried noodles, bread and eggs is chargeable hahaha... I nearly fainted. Take note most facilities like fitness room and child ply room are lock and rotting.

Bought three vouchers on groupon and stay in this resort in Dec 2013 with my friends. We enjoyed good time there. The place is quite near Batam sekupang ferry terminal. It only take 5 minutes to this resort. Although it is far from town, yet the staff there are very friendly and helpful. They will arrange either their van or taxi.

The food is delicious. Your must try their spa. Cheap but good!

Heard that they will do renovation soon. We will come back again after their renovation.

This hotel is very near sekupang ferry terminal. Took about 10 mins to reach the resort. From the dropoff point, we still need to walk a short distance to the reception.

At the reception, there's two receptionists who were very busy. 1 talking on the phone (I think talking to clients) while the other don't seems to know how to help us. So we waited for some time for the other to be available. Welcome drinks were served but was too slpw so we didn't get a glass each. Its some honeydew smell drink which is tasteless. Thank goodness there's wifi at the lobby to distract us. Remember to ask for the password. Wifi is only available at the lobby. Then someone brought us to the room. The person didn't ask us if we need help to carry the luggage but since we travelled light ao it doesn't matter actually. It took about 5 min to get to the room.

Along the way, there's a pond and a pool which we didn't stay around there. However we did see some people swimming in the pool during our stay.

To get to our room, we climbed alot of stairs. It's like a small hill. There's a patch of bid red ants along the way so do be careful of it.

We went in a group of 7 so we got 3 rooms whereby 1 is a family suite with a connecting room to a normal room. We only utilized 2 rooms as wthe beds are really big. We have 2 super single & 1 king sized bed in the family suite while the normal ones had 2 queen sized.

The rooms are okays in our opinion. Aircon were working fine. Shower was okay since we only stayed for 1 night. However, the heater of 1 of the room was not working. Towel was clean but there's a smell. There was no fridge at the normal room but there's 1 in the family suite, there's also a sofa. We did not use the TV as we find that there's nothing to watch. The bed and pillow were soft and comfy. Not much weird smell and looked clean. One thing is that the telephone in the room were not working. There's only a wall socket near the dressing table.

As we bought a package from groupon, we arranged the spa session and were disapointed as they are unable to accomodate 7 of us at a go. So we requested a refund and somehow they managed to arrange two sessions.

As the resort was very far from the city, we decided to get the hotel van to get us there. Its 15 bucks for one way to nagoya mall, price differs based on distance. As we are in a group, 15bucks(sgd) for a trip is still ok. Along the way, the driver recommended us to go and have a good meal at golden prawn 933 with a top up of 10bucks (sgd). So we say okay and went there. Golden prawn 933 is highly recommended as we had a 8 course meal (with king prawn, gong gong, calamari) summing to less than 70bucks (sgd) inclusive of service charge and chargeable drinks and snacks. After meal the same driver took us to nagoya and then brought us back tot he resort at night.

During the night, rmb to have torchlight with you as the journey back up to the room is not lighted so we used our phone to guide us back. Theres cricket sound which made it quite scary but since we travel as a group we were still okay with it.

Night was good as there's not many people there so it was noy noisy and we had a good sleep throughout the night.

Breakfast starts at 730 and we went on the dot. It was a simple spread with fried rice, fried noodles, potatoes with hotdogs and veggie. There's alsp toast bread and porridge which were more tasty. Better to get there early so to get food and also there's flies around during eating. There's also pudding, fruits, coffee tea and orange juice. You can order other stuffs but they are chargeable.

There's a pool table at the lobby which is free of charge so you can stay there and play.

Massage was still okay since I am not a very fussy person but my friends think that they can improve the massage as some said that it was not effective. For me, I got some blueblacks on my arms after the massage.

In general, looks like a chalet instead of resort. Gym was small and looked dusty so we didn't use. The staffs there only know simple english and you need to speak slowly. But they are okay and I think they tried their best to make our stay better.

Dont expect to be treated like a king/queen. But for people going in large groups, its recommended if you are not fussy.

Just stayed at this hotel few days ago as my friend and i had purchased the groupon. Please do not go there even if the deal looks tempting.
We felt sad for this resort as it has so much potential. Maybe about 10 years ago, this resort mustve been bustling with tourists but not now. It is dilapidated, old, has a musky smell and even the budget hotels look so much nicer than this resort. Its more like a chalet than a resort.
No shops NEARBY at all. No fridge, no safebox, lights are really dim and some are not working even. The pool is open for the public and the toilets outdoor as well as in the room are the worst ive seen.
The people are nice and friendly. Dont expect room service or nice food. The food is mediocre and the prices are in SGD!!! Not worth it for the amount you pay for the food. I didnt even dare to remove my footwear anywhere in the room.
Spa was nice though and thats the only plus point. There was only 3 choices for breakfast - fried noodles, continental bfast & some toast. They do not even provide pepper for my friend who ordered half boiled eggs & they gave us the whole pepper bottle (which we assumed was what the kitchen used for cooking) when we requested for pepper! The whole trip was so incredibly unfortunate that it was funny. The interior is nice and full of greenery but its just sad that it wasnt maintain well.
If you think of going to the nearby Nagoya mall, forget about it. They are overcharging, and charged SGD12 for a one way trip which is ridiculously. So the whole time we spent in the room watching the telly which has about 6 channels & still using an antenna to get signals.
Oh, please DO NOT FORGET to bring your own Towels and mosquito repellant. Maybe if the resort undergo a facelift, i might consider returning cause like ive mentioned, it has so much potential. But till then, NEVER. The groupon was unfortunately a WASTE of money. With the amount we paid, we might as well did the spa & have a staycation back in our country. Visit the resort at your own risk.

Been here for weekend. Located at Sekupang area, near Sekupang ferry terminal with greenery surrounding and Bali architecture atmosphere. The room is located up the hill, need to walk up or ask for pick up. Breakfast are basic but enough to start the day.
