Our Junior Suite room was spacious and comfortable, they also provide extra pillow and bolster. The shower area is so narrow, but they have huge stone bathtub. Large lobby area to accommodate group of tourists.
The only issue we had was the breakfast. We went to Bamboo Cafe around 9am, and they had already ran out of food. Long queue for pancakes and omelette. And the variety was also horrible. They served rice, fried rice, fried noodle, sayur lodeh and sausages - the worst combination ever! For a 4 star hotel, they could've served better food quality.

There are many websites and travel agents in Singapore offering good deals for 2D 1N trips to Batam. I have been on 3 such trips with my mother in 10 months and each time staying at different hotels, but this is the only one I was compelled to revew.

For S$78 (all taxes inclusive) I did not expect much, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear that the soft drinks and peanuts in the mini bar, in addition to the standard bottles of mineral water, was complimentary. I was also impressed by the larger than usual bathtub in the bathroom. Incidently, no hand or face towels were made available and to save water, I did not request for any.

However, the reason why I would not be returning to this hotel any time soon, is that during the breakfast buffet at the Bamboo Cafe (Hope I have the name right, it is on ground floor right opposite the lifts). In the span of i hour, I witnessed 3 small brown cockroaches crawling around and (I kid you not) ON the food. Word of advice: Don't take the soft rolls or the kueh on the table nearest the entrance!

The hotel is nice and clean, and my room was absolutely out of what I'm expected. It was spacious and comfortable. I really enjoy!
I would recommend to friends who like to go free and easy, because staying in the hotel is really an enjoyment, they have swimming pool and gym facilities.
I do not recommend those promotion package to people who do not like shopping, the local tour guide will bring you to everywhere, try to dig out all your money. I was very tired and by the time I checked in hotel was already 7pm batam time. Left so little time to enjoy the hotel.

Overall, the hotel is inviting with its white roman design & the rooms are cosy. Two issues we had were the smoke smell in the room & thin pillows. For the breakfast, refill of food/ drinks/ empty glasses was pretty slow too. Nearest mall to this hotel is Megamall -about 5mins away by cab. It is located about 15-20mins away from Nagoya hills shopping/ spa area. Unfortunately, the shuttle bus from hotel only starts after 4pm hence would need to catch a cab to do any activities out of this hotel.
