“Nice...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

The hotel was elegant and big, but it was quite bored as no shopping mall nearby(walking distance). Overall is ok except for the staff in Restaurant Bamboe (one of the dining restaurant), the staffs were not friendly and is very slow.

First impression of the hotel was that it was a newish hotel, and has a classic and elegant look die to the roman pillars as its design.

As you walk into the lobby, it is spacious and has a good waiting area with good seized sofa suites to relax in while you are checking in.

Bear in mind that in most hotels in Batam, they are smoking hotels, so while your room may be a non-smoking room, the guests are allowed to smoke in the lobby, in the restaurant and even on your floor while waiting for the lift, they are just not allowed to smoke in the non-smoking room. So your room will still stink of the smoking stench, if you are allergic to smoke, this will be a huge problem for you as well as for asthma suffers.

Checking in was easy and painless, even for 9 of us who have reserved for 3 rooms.

After checking in, we went to out respective rooms to unpack, as we took out some clothes and flipped the blanket over (just as you would do when you are about to go to bed) there was blood stains (it was still red) on the blanket. The bloster pilow was also very filthy. It had multiple stains on it. I rang the hoousekeeping department. The girl who took my call was very apologetic and said she would send someone up to my room immediately. The guy who turned up at my room was a totally different story.

He rang my door bell, had a smug look and a smile about him when he asked what was my problem. I told him I had a stain on my blanket and he said to show him where. when i brought him to the bed, THAT WAS when his smile and smug look disappeared. Even HE could no pretend not to see the blood stains! He didnt apologise, he just said he would change it now for me. I had to ask for him to change the bolster too. in the end, either he saw that there was mre stainson the nedsheet that I didnt discover or that he did it as part of the package but he changed the bedsheet, the blanket and the bloster case. He didnt not change the pillow cases.

The bathroom is big and spacious. there is a huge bathtub. THe shower space is adequate as well however, there is no one for you to put your shampoo and conditioner bottles, so you can only either 1. put them on the floor (although the floor wasnt that clean as we could see bad mould near the drainage in the shower floor) or 2. leave the bottles on the table just outside the shower door so you just have to open the door when you need the shampoo or conditioner.
Water pressure was good though.

Breakfast is from 7 -10am, we got there about 9.15am after our exercise. Most food are either gone and NOT replenished or they were left uncovered with houseflies buzzing around. We ate only the omelettes and toast. We asked for waffles or pancakes but the cook serving the omelettes said that there was none left. It was only 9.15am and there was NONE left? no more flour mixture? Anyway, while there are quite a few variety of different food available, they are either not kept hot, or not kept closed therefore they are unhygenic or they just arent replenished. It is just enough food to keep you going and get you checked out of the hotel.

The gym has good exercise equipment and the pool was kept clean with the cleaner cleaning the pool by 7.10am. Most guests do not turn up at the pool till about 8.30am. It is not a big pool maybe about 10-15m at most each length. I was up at 7am and could still do 100 laps (yes it is a 100, not 10 laps :) )and be out of the pool by 8.25am and that was when familes with the kids are getting into the pool, so if you want the pool to your self to do laps, be up early.

Overall, if I have to choose again, I will not choose this hotel again because of its cleaniness.
My husband was sick for 2 days after this stay. I would choose ihotel or google tripadvisor for better hotels.

Room Tip: TOO DIRTY ! Choose elsewhere... Ihotel would be better

When we arrived at this hotel.. WOW!! Very nice... The moment we check-in, DISASTER!! My family was huge with kids and all we got was rooms with single beds when we actually asked for bigger beds for all rooms.. In the end, after nearly 1 hour, 1 HOUR of voicing out our concerns, we finally got few rooms upgraded to bigger beds out of the many rooms we have but by then, they already kill our experience there.. definitely not this hotel for me next time... never again....

Towels are stained I had to wait for 15 mins for a one to one exchange.. this is really bad...

However, staffs handle me politely which is good, great gym equipments, good swimming pool at the 6th floor..

Breakfast menu's definitely need to improve for goodness sake.. Dinner Menu's was delicious...

Room Tip: Do not take rooms on the 2nd floor.. There is a walking alley outside the superior rooms and some sl...

I came here by accident, usually I took common chain hotel for a buniness trip considering the standard that they have. but, it was all full at the moment and my colleague drive me here.
the outlook of this hotel is big and beautiful, altough it is far from batam island crowd. receptionis was slow and always disturbed by many phone call. room was ok, the best thing is a big bathup inside toilet. room is spacious but wihout any window and no wifi available.
breakfast is so so with limited variation of food there.
they got a big beautiful building but so boring without good hospitality

A nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, except maybe those at the breakfast cafe -- looked like they were tired and in need of more sleep. Decent buffet breakfast, considering the price we paid for the package. Room was comfortable with all the basic amenities. Windows look out to a sort of corridor lined with beautiful statues of angels playing various musical instruments...quite pleasant. The corridors as well as lift lobby area is huge, which is quite a waste, unless they expect all the guests staying there to leave at the same time. Swimming pool area was deserted and looked like nobody had been there a long time...
Nothing much around the hotel....across the road are some restaurants. We had a buffet lunch at one of them (cant remember the name but it was part of the package again) -- again decent food though nothing to rave about. Would probably try Sanur the next time round.
Don't believe the locals when they tell you the shopping mall (Megamall) is nearby and about 5 minutes' walk. It's a walkable distance -- about 10-15 minutes, definitely not 5 minutes. A taxi ride would cost about S$10 so we decided to walk there and cab back. But not a good idea to walk if you have elderly folks or those who are not very mobile. Next time, we'll try Harris Hotel Batam Centre which is opposite the Megamall and next to the ferry terminal.

My boyfriend & I went there for a 2D1N trip in June 2011. We almost got stuck there as I had booked both our ferry tickets & hotel room by the ferry company. We managed to get on a ferry 4 hours late, and arrived at Harmoni One red in the face. But, Monica surprised us with her helpfulness. Not only did she secure us a room at no extra charge, she upgraded our Superior room to a Deluxe room :)

Our room was sparkling clean & spacious, with a queen-sized bed, massage bed for 2, and a gorgeous bathtub! 2 people could lay there & soak, no problem. 24h room service was available (except for massage), & their Western food is quite nicely done. Desserts were disappointing though, although it wasn't too bad. Plus point is that it's close to the ferry terminal and a provision shop selling their fantastic snacks. Oh & there's a pool & gym on the top floor.

Those who go frequently will absolutely love this place:)

Room Tip: Book online through their website a couple of days before you travel- it's much cheaper than pho...
