Dinner takeaway - 3 Feb 2013
For 8 adults & 3 kids
First time :)
Liked: Most of us ordered the fish soup & rice. Simply delicious.
Disliked:
(1) We also ordered the prawn porridge & nasi goreng special. The former was mainly prawn soup poured over white rice, not those kinda soft porridge. While the latter was nasi goreng with a sunshine egg & a fried chicken wing. Both were failure.
(2) While waiting for our takeaways, both of us & our driver decided to have a drink. The waitress who served us showed no interest of taking order & later, mixed it up. We ordered 1 Aqua & 2 Teh Sosro. I pointed to her to the fridge and mentioned "dalam botol" meaning 'in the bottle'. However, we were served 1 Aqua & 2 Teh SUSU i.e hot tea with milk! We told her politely that she served us the wrong drinks. Yet she insisted that she was right & she just walked away! Our driver called the supervisor & explained to him nicely on what happened. Quickly, the supervisor took over the situation & served us accordingly. To us, its just a matter of little understanding. However, we pitied the waitress who was still grumbling over the matter at one corner! :)
Although the other dishes failed us & the little misunderstanding we had, these will not stop us to comeback for Yong Kee's fish soup when we visit Batam again.
We gave the grade "Very Good" for its fish soup only.
Well, we agreed that Taste is a subjective matter. :)
