Hotel is styled into a large cruise ship actually 2 ships. The stay was okay and location is quiet near to everywhere else. My only complain is that during my stay at 8 AM loud banging noises due to maintenance. I figure they could have done this in the afternoon or something just no at 8 AM. And it goes on for an hour! What a nightmare! Regarding noise, if you are trying to catch a quiet nice sleep look elsewhere. You can hear the loud club music well into 3 AM. If you dont concern on sleep do stay here because location is good.

Stayed for a night on a Saturday.

About the room;

Pros:
- Spacious room. Able to put at least 2 queen size bed, and there will still be area to walk.
- Spacious bathroom.
- Clean and neat.

Cons;
- TV was a little too small.
- No WiFi in room. Only available at the lobby.

5 of us went. Requested for a room near to each other, but apparently the service staff did not manage to get a side by side room. Was quite disappointed. The service for the Front Desk, as compared to the F&B side, they are like two ends. The F&B staffs, thumbs up. For the Front Desk, there is a lot more to improve on.

Breakfast do not have a lot of variety, but it is good enough to have a nice breakfast. No complains. The porridge taste nice. There are smoking and non- smoking area. Halfway through breakfast, the staffs danced and gave lots of entertainment to the guests. Very friendly staffs for the F&B side.

Location wise, I would say that it is quite convenient, as there is a place to eat, just right behind the hotel. If you are looking at convenience store, there is also one at the hotel itself, but it is not 24 hours. There is also a disco behind the hotel. It is also near the Harbour Bay.

I attended a meeting at this hotel and stayed there for 2 nights. The outlook of the hotel (both exterior and interior) were very impressive. Imagine a cruise-liner on land. Given the impressive nature of the set-up, I expected an equally impressive service quality. Suffice to say that the service quality of the staff were below what I would expect from such an impressive hotel.

The management should seriously looked into the service quality mindset of the staff (especially the frontliners) because regardless of how beautiful and impressive your hotel building and facilities are, if your people could not uphold a superior service quality mindset, than your guests will not feel the satisfaction (at least for me) of staying there.

Got this hotel through groupon.sg. was served by EFO at the counter. check-in was fast. just tt we had to pay a 50sgd deposit. 2 access cards were issued to us that needed to be tapped even when accessing the lift. we got the cabin room. a tat small for 3 ppl, since ours was triple sharing. bed was very comfortable, except for the spare bed though. TV had lots of channels.

hotel has a fitness centre which opens up till 9pm. there is pool together with hot bath, steam room and sauna. towels and lockers are provided, but not much place to hang the towels.

for those not too interested in hotel fare, u can head to the pacific food court which is located just behind the hotel. there u can find a whole stretch of seafood restaurants. we did not try tt however, as there was a famous seafood place: Wey Wey Seafood, just down the road behind the harbour bay mall. Just turn left outside the hotel and walk down the stretch of road till u see the harbour bay mall. there is this long stretch of road that leads to the sea, is where u will find the wey wey seafood.

breakfast was quite disappointing. the number of non-smoking seats were much lesser than that of the smoking seats, causing us to sit among the smokers. food wasn't really to our taste, maybe suiting the local palate more. staff were friendly and helpful though.

overall not a bad stay, considering the amt paid. will consider there again.

Room Tip: avoid the cabin rooms if possible? damn i could feel the disco thumping at night. at least get highe...

Checked in on 11/5 for 1 nite. Total paid 4 rooms: 635, 637, 638 & 640. Were upgrade to deluxe room wt balcony. Checked in was fast. Complimentary orange juice were given at lobby. Nothing much to complain abt this hotel as most of it were beyond my expectation of 4 star hotel. Rooms & toilet r huge. Only the TV a bit small to fit in the huge room. Had dinner room service. Food was very nice. Breakfast was ok bt limited should improve more variety.Overall was good. Will definitely come back again. Thumbs up all staff gud & friendly service

I traveled to Batam recently and had to stay overnight. A very big plus for this hotel is its proximity to the Harbour bay ferry centre (although new ones closer to the terminal have also come up). The ship like shape of the hotel is interesting. Lobby is grand but a bit dark. Rooms are very big and clean. Must mention it had a 21inch flat screen tv which was just tooo small for a room this size. All amenities like electronic safe, hair dryer, coffee station etc are made available. Breakfast buffet was a let down, very limited choice and mostly for the local palate...For a night's stay it was perfect but if I have to stay for longer will check on other options.
