I traveled for a week with my family during the Lebaran season. We have accomodated here a couple of times in the past though this time, it was so bad I honestly had no words for it.

We were excited at first knowing that the rooms have been renovated since our last visit about 3 years ago. The first disappointing experience is that they have two types of internet service. An extremely slow of a joke that is complementary and a much faster one, though you'd have to pay an extra $5 for 24 hour use. Even though it isn't 'that expensive' it's still a pretty cheap method to suck money out of us. Why not offer it complementary? Doesn't make sense.

The toilet didn't flush properly which was horrid and disgusting. Even after calling maintenance service, they still didn't fix it! AC didn't have any options at all. It was confusing to understand whether 'high' meant colder or 'low meant hotter, because we couldn't really feel the difference. It would have been better if we could just adjust the temperature as numbers to our liking rather than low to high options and the fan options were the same as well.

Room is clean and each room had a flat screen. Channels on the TV weren't much though it didn't really bother me nor the others. Highly recommend ordering Asian food as the chef doesn't cut in the other foreign cuisine placed on the menu. I did really love their Teh Tarik! To die for, though really expensive $4.5 when I could buy sachets of the same quality over Circle K, with approx. 6 uses, 1 sachet per (approx.) 500ml glass, same portion as they serve us.

Breakfast was disappointing at times and hygiene can be terrible at times. As a chef, food wasn't properly stored out in the buffet area and I was extremely concerned with the bacteria infestation. At one point the milk was rotten and for several days they had to serve powdered milk rather than fresh. Horrible!

I didn't have the desire to spend that much time in the hotel, though the only place that I ever enjoyed being there was in my room. Comfy bed and great to pass out after a long day.

At one point my family ordered food for lunch and I understand how long it takes to cook these dishes, especially simple noodles and an oxtail soup - all of these would have already been prepared. It took approximately 1 and a half hour to arrive! After several complaints it seemed as if the waiters/waitresses didn't care. Luckily my family was patient enough to wait and the food finally arrived.

I had a much more enjoyable experience in the past and I am not even sure if I would ever come back.

Room Tip: No preference so far.

in the city like Bandung, this hotel offer good price. I stayed for a night on 26-27 Oktober 2012. I got room in millenium wings, which is a new room but smaller than the other wings. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is nice. You can try traditional food with acceptable taste. I recommend you to stay in this hotel, if you are on a trip with a family, this hotel provides a pool (not so big, but okay for kids).
It's located in the city, so you can look for food close by. 15 minutes walk to Braga art center and a lot of food here.

Room Tip: all room good, just make sure you choose executive room if you are travelling with children.

This was the fifth time we stayed in the SH. We were put off by the fact that they have remodelled the entrance and cut out the very elaborate woodcutting of the old SH in the hall. What a shame!
Although the suites at the front are still spacious, the traffic is getting worse during the night. The carpet and bathroom start deteriorating.
It has got to be time that management is seriously considering what kind of hotel they want to make out of it. Colonial heritage? Then let them have a look at the Majapihit in Surabaya to learn the trick. Modern? Go on and destroy the interior, sell off the art deco and make a boutique hotel of it. But anyhow, get double glazing at the front.

Room Tip: Don´take a room at the front

Stay 2 night during golf vacation at Bandung, special noticed of corner of bathroom made of transparent glass very nice view of deluxe room. No breakfast for group check in, can't try their menus. After all is good and clean, no haunted.

Room Tip: Bad location of traffic jam

Am booked into the Savoy Homann for a week. I stayed here with my family in the late 70s when I was a kid, and am here for nostalgic reasons. It is a beautiful place. Lovely archtiecture, so much character, good facilities and great smorgasbord breakfasts. Why stay anywhere else? Those international chains are just so bland. Hotel Savoy Homan ticks all the boxes. Just wonderful.

Room Tip: the double beds with new glass bathroom are very good

I stayed once in this hotel with my family a few years ago. Some said it was haunted but nothing happened for sure. Room was clean, comfortable, everything was fine. We ordered food from the room service and it tasted great, unique flavor.
