“Clean,good service,good located,for short stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

We spent 3 days,2 nights here. My husband had a training for his work and me and our 3 kids were travelling with him. The room is ok, bathroom clean, and coffee and tea maker available which is always handy. The swimmingpool is a bit small but good enough to have a swim and entertainment for the kids. The fitness facility is a small room with outdated equipment and as my experience,a meetingpoint for watching local soap operas (yups, even at 8am). Breakfast buffet is very tasteful. Peakhours for breakfast is around 7.30,it can be very crowded so save yourself the irritation of standing in line for a scrumbled egg or juice and come before or after peakhour. The lobby is big and the only place for free wifi. Its a bit cumbersome to connect with their wifi so it might be better to go to a cafe or other location nearby with wifi. The hotel is centrally located. Its close to factory outlets, cafes, restaurants. We tried to walk but all cars and motorcycles passing the big road in front of the hotel made that a suicide so finally we went by car. Much safer. Our stay was a good one and i might consider it again for a next time. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room's Atmosphere, bed and bathroom are excellent (even without the breakfast, the room itself is worth the value). They have rooms in two building, the first one is the older one (but it's still good) while the second one is the new building and it's absolutely brilliant. Ask for the second building if possible.
Breakfast was good, good variety and service. Although they can improve in terms of the size of the non smoking area.
Location was good too, walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants.
The only thing I don't like is the securities (Parking securities) in the lobby. They made it too obvious that they want tip. It's just annoying sometimes.
In conclusion, this hotel is a great hotel for any guest, couple, family with kids, friends or business.

Room Tip: ask for the second tower, i was lucky i got upgraded for free to the executive suite in the second t...

Location is perfect at one of the main street in Bandung, Dago, which popular for young generation. Walking distance to the fashion outlet at Jalan Riau, Sumatra and Merdeka.

Good service and very nice rooms. We stayed at Holiday Inn Bandung for 3 days.

I've stayed here before as there is this location not much choice - tried Hyatt and Novotel but each has problems. Might try Anton next time.

The breakfasts at HI get very boring, lots of Indonesian food but its too sweet and salty for me, choice of cereals is limited, rice puffs and cardboard cornflakes or kids super sweet cereals. Choice of fruit and eggs cooked to order but that is about it, unless you also like bake beans, cold potatoes and cold beef sausages. Most of the "hot" food is cold because the warmers don't work properly.

Service OK but getting fed up with the cramped bathroom, not even enough room on the bathroom shelf to put an amenities it.

Moved room to a poolside view because of the problem with the noisey motorbikes that haunt Dago street

Room Tip: Don't let them put uyou in a room overlooking Dago Street, the motorbikes roar up and down all n...

I would like to start with saying that the Bandung Holiday Inn is one of the best I have stayed in with the Holiday Inn chain. They have 2 towers and the new modern tower and its rooms are more like a Crowne Plaza standard than a typical holiday inn. The rooms in the older tower on the other hand are like the typical HI's. I had one of their Executive Suite's and it was much better than the pictures I had seen on the website. Rooms are quite, spacious, well lit, clean, come with all amenities including iDock, DVD player, Hi-Fi system, 3 TV's, universal power ports etc. The bathroom is the best feature in this room.. it is almost as big as the bedroom! nice large bathtub and a shower room for 2! 2 separate shower heads which if positioned in the right way gives you a blissful massage.. Airport pickup and drop off was included in my package and they use a good spacious and clean MPV. The fitness center was a very basic one, but does the job as it wasnt busy and has most of the common equipment. Location wise, it is walking distance to some of the popular "Factory Outlets" and also close to various restaurants, fast food options etc. It is just a 15-20 min drive to the beautiful Dago area where you have fantastic restaurants with romantic hill top settings and also a good Golf course..

Room Tip: Make sure you book a room in the Modern tower. Its well worth the few extra $'s..

It is my 1st time to visit Bandung and I stayed in Holiday Inn for 3 nights recently. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. There was complimentary hotel transfer when I book which help me a lot especially when i arrived quite late in Bandung. I really like their efficiency on replying every email and how they informed us on our time to airport on the last day. So far, I find their service very good.

The location of the hotel is great because it is surrounded with those factory outlets. No problem in finding food outlets, just walking distance to everywhere. Jalan Dago and Jalan Riau which are famous for factory outlet are just 10 mins walking distance from the hotel. You can even take "angkut" ( their public transport) which cost around rp1000-rp2500 per person or taxi around rp 10000-20000 for short distance route.

Bandung is our favorite destination but we do not have a favorite hotel yet. We stayed in different hotels on every visit. This is our first time staying in Holiday Inn Bandung. A good first impression came from Ms Felysa from hotel reservation who handled our complimentary airport transfer and answered every email promptly.

The first thing that struck us as we entered the hotel is security. We were made to feel safe and secure when the hotel security checked on every vehicle, luggage and suspicious characters. Most of us take security for granted but after what happened to Jakarta Marriott, this aspect of the hotel is a welcome relief.

Our 2 rooms on the 8th floor have a beautiful view of the mountains. The rooms looked a little old. The king size bed is huge with 6 pillows. The complimentary drinks are replenished daily. Towels and toiletries changed daily. There was some problem with the bedside light. Nobody came to fix that after our first call but it only got fixed after the second call. The "Do Not Disturb" sign was missing and was only sent to the room after the second request. It seemed that every request must be made twice before they are attended to.

With 3 restaurants in this hotel, food should not be a problem. Breakfast at the Kebun Bumbu is not exceptionally good but fulfilling. Alternatively, next to the hotel is the Gampong Aceh restaurant serving Acehnese food. This eating place is surprisingly cheap and attracts guests from Holiday Inn and the Luxton Hotel opposite. There is also a 24-hr cafe, fast food joint and a food court in nearby Dago Mall.

The massage at the Tea Tree Spa on the 2nd floor of the south wing is a must try. You will be able to smell the aroma upon entering the premises. The "Jahe" drink after the massage is superb. A cup is not enough and they will delightfully serve a second.

The Happening factory outlet is directly opposite the hotel. We received 30% discounts on our purchases of Emporio Armanis and Fred Perrys.

Overall our stay at the Holiday Inn Bandung is a very pleasant one and we would not hesitate to recommend others.
