I stayed here 5 times in different years. Over the years, the quality of rooms are very standard (a little bit old fashion), dark, a bit smelly, but I had a great sleep quality, good services and friendly staffs. Its location is very near with Dago, which you can have a great time in some cafes with amazing and lovely night view from uphill. But it is quite far from the city. Overall, it is a great hotel.

After good experience of the Sheraton on Jogjakarta, my girlfriend and myself tried the Sheraton in Bandung. In all my travels, business and private, I never experienced such quality, friendly personell and fine food as this hotel.
The rooms are big and comfortable, the pool is situated in a nice garden and looks more like a roman style bading place than a swimming pool.
The service, especially from mr Agus from the front desk, was outstanding. A more personal touch was not possible.
From tourist advices to dining suggestions, mr Agus helped us.
The breakfast was a feast, the cocktails were delicious and all for a more than reasonable price.
This is a hotel where we certainly will return, the next time, when we will stay in Bandung.
In one word: Wow!!!

At this time i have unhappy moment because when i came to this hotel my husband and my eldest son got sick because they have ate the food outside from the hotel and the food was expire and we didn't knew. So when we arrive to Sheraton in the afternoon we all fine. But at 3AM my husband got sick and also my eldest son. So we never going out since then but i get help from the front desk lady at the lounge lobby and got help also from the helper. They offering me the doctor and buy the medicine also. They were very friendly and helpful. I really appreciate for their attention. For the hotel room is nice but maybe it will be better if the view can be all the valley. Because i got put on the edge of building and its near the parking lot and some house and i can hear people talking and sometimes child scream near my room. Perhaps its from the house near there. It will be good if the room is having full valley view so i can have more nice view. But overall it was good.

Beautiful hotel very close to Dago area, friendly and courteous staff, aged room but still very cosy. Great Indonesian selection on the breakfast buffet.

The only disappointment I had was when I had to get a taxi upon check out. Sheraton being 5 star hotel, I expected they should provide guests with safe and reliable transportation options. The concierge only has limousine service. I always prefer to take Blue Bird taxis in Bandung as the company is considerably the safest and most reliable. When I ordered one I was told that I had to walk about 300 metres down the street as the only taxis who are allowed to get anywhere near the hotel are the ones standing by outside. Problem with those taxis are that they do not use meters, and look very run down. As I had quite a lot of luggage and the street was busy during the day, I insisted that they find me a good taxi with running meter. The concierge came back and assured me that the taxi they have hailed runs with the meter on, so I hopped on as I was late to a meeting. 2 minutes into the ride the suspiciously chatty driver told me that he doesn't run the meter and charged me Rp.50.000 for just a 10 minutes ride into Ciwalk. Being distracted and bothered by that, I paid quickly and accidentally dropped my credit card. Later in the day when I got back to Jakarta I received a phone call from the Sheraton receptions saying that the taxi driver has phoned in and asked for my number as he has my credit card. I asked the receptionist to retrieve it from him for me to pick up later in the week. However the driver refused to hand in my credit card and says he only wants to talk to me. I immediately sensed that the driver just wants to make money out of it, the taxi company was vastly unhelpful when I reported it so I went ahead and cancelled my card.

The point to all this is that it could have been avoided if Sheraton have provided their guests with proper taxi service instead of supporting the somewhat scamming system. Seeing that it's a 5 star Starwood property, I expected their service standards to be much higher than I had experienced. Definitely a factor that will make me think twice about staying there again.
