“fresh room interior and great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

this hotel is full with malaysian tourist. the room was small but with fresh interior and looks very clean. WIFI in the room was quite bad. Only certain time can open the browser. The food was OK and need to get up early as the cafe size was small, it will full with people and quite packed. the hotel was just a walking distance to cihampelas outlets along the road and to cihampelas walk (the mall). Along the road also have a few restaurants if you guys want to try some local dishes. Cihampelas road is one of the busiest road and full with traffic day n night. if you take a taxi from the city it will take some time to reach the hotel. and if you took the "angkut" some of them will avoid this road so it will not pass by the hotel and took a shortcut but they will asked the passenger first if they were going to use shortcut so please be alert.

A minimalist hotel situated near the shopping areas. Very clean, no hassle to check-in and check-out, free wifi, staff are very courteous. The hotel have a small indoor swimming pool - great for kids. If you need to buy small stuff that you forgot to bring with you - there's a 24-hour shop across the road from the hotel. No electric kettle in the room, but every floor has been fitted with water dispenser, so no problem of making your coffee at night. The downside - not much choice for breakfast.

First thing when i was choosen stay in Bandung is to get good location for leisure and nice place to stay....so Cihampelas area is first choice and Amaris Cihampelas for staying. I took 2 nights stay, the hotel is so minimalist, clean and free Wi Fi connection so I can browse the internet free. Breakfast are provided fried rice traditional, kind of eggs, toast bread...and of course coffee and tea. I RECOMMENDED to stay this hotel if you have tight plan with sightseeing city tour, shopping, visiting attraction place and other outside hotel activities. And CIHAMPELAS area is the first choice because you can get the shopping area, RUMAH MODE (5 minutes), Paris Van Java (5 minutes), Zoo ( 5 minutes), Dago Area (10 minutes) so this is central of Bandung attraction place.

Room Tip: Facing to Cihampelas street

This is a very low cost hotel in the centre of the shopping area of Cihampelas. The hotel facilities is just ok for a solo visit and just for a business or a hurried trip. The rooms are small but cozy, clean and neat. Services are limited but good. You also get medium speed wi-fi connection so that your business need is just fulfilled.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask where you get the mobile coverage or your mobile connection will be horrible.

I'm just going to sort it out by points:

1) Not much choices for breakfast
2) They have swimming pool which I think just suitable and comfortable for kids
3) About 10 minutes unpleasant walk to Cihampelas Walk. Unpleasant means no proper sidewalk.
4) Ok for budget traveller

Stayed here twice.
Both are terrible experiences.

On my 1st stay, they put me in the dark room with an AC outdoor view from my room. I would not complain if the Wi-fi signal is good. But hey, What kind of connection do you ask for that "weird" room area?

On the 2nd stay.
The room location is better, facing the Cihampelas street on the 2nd floor. Yes, with a good Wi-fi signal (finally). But for the price I paid (during Christmas season), I should have had a good night sleep. but, No! with their very thin pillow, tired linen sheets, I didn't enjoy any moments of it.

The breakfast area was also dirty, with a slow table clear up from the crew.
The wall in my room also need to be repainted. spots here and there.

Before my departure, I asked the staff to print my flight ticket, I don't care about the payment. But the male crew said, they don't have printer for A4 paper. I was like, really? So, what kind of paper do you use for reporting? LOL.
Amaris and Kompas group?

Dissapointed!

Checked in to this hotel when most hotels in Bandung were full. I must say the location is perfect for shopping, as it is located in Cihampelas-one of the shopping district in Bandung. However, the room is tiny just like a pidgeon hall! The dining room also very small and dirty. If you're a person who prefer to go outside and hate to stay in your hotel room, then this hotel might be a good option. Otherwise, just choose other hotels..
