3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012 via mobile

Overall quite ok, the room is big,the souronding very good, with the beautifull green theme.

But theres something need to be improve, like a small shower, the hot water takes too long, the sanitary spray in full power and also small ants.

The breakfast is also need to be improve, i arrive at 9.30, most of the menu allready empty.

We booked this hotel, last minute deal.

The hotel situated on jalan Setiabudi, easily find if you drive from bandung to lembang, is not difficult to spot with the big signage on the road side.

First time reach there, the welcome party is great, all very friendly. Check in is easy without hustle. Cossy lobby, so i can sit down there and relax with free wifi.

Then, they sent us to our room, facing the swimming pool. we need to climb stair inside our room. For eldery, please ask the room at the ground level (executive i supposed) slightly more expensive thou.

Room inside is quite nice, outside swimming pool for children and adult.

Morning breakfast is quite standard, not that much, its ok.

All in all, i still can recommend this hotel to our friends if the price is on budget and have promo.

One minus thing is that, wifi is hardly connected on the room, i only can use it outside on the pool side and the lobby area.

Gumilang Regency Hotel is one of 'nice to try' options in Bandung when you have to take your family with you. A very nice functional room and cozy to spend your weekend, so many variety menu when you having breakfast, small yet complete playground for your kids with high standard of children safety, this hotel also offer special service for kids party with special space just like at kindergarten's. Most of rooms having pool view, birds cage for children to see, and even you can find several birds at your terrace window. My experience at this hotel reminds me of my childhood which was so close to nature and for a moment make me forget that I was at the hotel, feels so homy. The pool has two main areas, the main pool is the one without heater and the small one for kids only and your kids could experience warm water only on weekend days from 7 - 10 AM. It's such a 'value for money' place to stay.

Room Tip: choose the room at upper floor, because it probably 'less noisy' and more comfortable.

my lil family stayed for 1 night at Deluxe room, the room is on 2nd floor with Pool view. The queensize bedsheets is spotless, but i think its too small for sharing bed with a child. But everyone is happy...

love the location which is not too far to Tangkuban Prahu as our main destination & downtown to shop at Rumah Mode or having dinner at Suis Butcher... my daughter loves to play at the small playground.

Room Tip: for standard & deluxe room, there's no AC, but the weather is perfect.

In summary, as my title for this hotel, I think Gumilang Regency Hotel is the perfect place for you to stay for 1 night or so. It is very cheap compare to what you get. I booked through Agoda, it costs me USD 37.9 only.

The hotel is build on the main street, which is Setia Budi Street, so it is very convenient for you to come down to the downtown (Bandung) or continue to go to Lembang, Tangkuban Perahu and so on.

The room we had was located on the second floor but has the main door on the first floor. So, if you open your main door, all you can see is a stair with wall on the right and left side, to go to the second floor where your room is located.

I've never been to this situation before. Usually, the hotel has a common stairs/lift at the end of a hall so I think this is the first experience for me to have such a unique lay-out. If you bring small children, you have to consider this as it may dangerous for children, happy-energetic children as I have. They will be excited to play by come up and down the stairs as many as they like and probably they will fall during doing so.

Breakfast has quite various choice. Very worth it for the price of the hotel. It has also a small swimming pool in front of everybody's room. I mean, the swimming pool is surrounded by almost all of the hotel rooms. So, if you swim, everybody from their room can take a peep through their window to see you swimming because the swimming pool is very close to all the rooms, just about 3-4 m away from your main door.

Another great stuff of this hotel is: it has a place for children playground.

Well, in short, I will recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a short stay in Lembang because it is good, nice, clean, cheap, and very strategic.

I didn't do any reservations prior to checking in to Gumilang. The staff were very helpful in organizing our one-night stay. We booked two rooms, and the staff upgraded the rooms to a nicer version (Deluxe, I think--it was on the second floor) with a connecting door. The rooms were clean and of good size in my opinion, complete with tea and coffee making facilities, cable TV, hot & cold shower and my favorite, wooden floorboards. It had a view to the pool, and I can even see people working out in the gym facility they provided. It was cold enough too, so I didn't use the air conditioner. The pool looked nice although I didn't have the chance to try it.

Breakfast was really good. They had a lot of variety. I especially love their whole grain bread. It was really yummy! :) And they had yogurt, cereal and the works. If you have an Indonesian stomach they also have rice, noodles, etc that are also good.

I've stayed there on early March 2012. The hotel not so big as many other 4star hotel in Bandung. But the Deluxe room was good enough, the bed putted on 2nd floor, and pool view. However the weather was quite nice as the location of the hotel was in under the Lembang hill, so no worries even there is no Air condition inside the room.

Room Tip: For those who are foreigners, that can't stand of hot weather during the day, you must not choos...
