This hotel has recently been refurbished and I must say, the rooms look spangkingly new and clean, ceiling to floor. No funky musty smells and even the exterior areas like pool etc. looks new.
I stayed in a double room, which was very spacious. It was overlooking the pool.
Room service took long, maybe 30 minutes or more. It pays to know a bit of their local language. Hotel staff might not understand simple English, save for the reception.
The room service food wasn't that impressive though. Their local fares were ok, but stay away from the western food from Room service.
Their complimentary breakfast was passable , due to the limited range, serving local fried rice or noodles , and toast/cereal or porridge. Even in its limitation, it was quite flavorful and I felt that it tallies with the price.
One good thing about this hotel is its location.
Just behind it, is a stretch of lane dedicated to local curtain wholesalers, for those who are interested.
It's also a 5 minute walk from Bandung's local department store, Yogya and its night market surrounding it. Yogya is also the lane next to " Pasar Baru "which is the wholesale market of sorts.
I'd really recommend this comfy hotel to people who want to save on transport, to do their shopping around the King's Yogya Area.
Transport is fairly easy to get too, as the staff would gladly hail you a taxi or book a transport to your preferred destination.
They’re also helpful and knowledgeable with day tours and such.
