“Wonderful place for a family get-together”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Flew out from the UK to meet up with our son and his family who live in Australia, for the first two weeks of July 2013. Fabulous resort and perfect for a family. We had two very private villa's next door to each other, each with it's own pool and lounging areas. Enormous, comfortable beds and the best air conditioning systems. Perfect temp and very quiet. The staff could not be faulted and could not do enough for us. Our two very lively young grandsons were watched over constantly and even if we took our eyes off them for a moment, the staff always seemed to be paying attention to what they were up to!! Sitters were available if we wanted to go out without them in the evening. If I was to criticise anything, then it would have to be the price of the hotel taxi service. They do offer a free shuttle to the centre of town, but if you want to get a taxi anywhere else, the hotel will charge you two or even three times the going rate. We would probably have eaten at the resort more often, if the food had matched other restaurants in Ubud, charging comparable prices. There are some excellent ones. It is very expensive and although the staff and service were wonderful, the food was OK but disappointing. If you need a taxi anywhere in Ubud, ring Gede Arta (pronounced Guday, or G'day if you're Australian) on (+62)081237445493. We found him quite by chance and used him for the rest of our stay. He was wonderful, speaks English and Japanese, is totally reliable and won't overcharge you. He got a generous tip when we left. He will do both day trips to an itinerary of your choice, run you to the airport, or short trips around Ubud. His car seats 6. Enjoy.

Room Tip: We had villa 216, which was very private, on the outer edge of the resort. It had a slightly larger...

Such a beautiful place! Lovely paddy fields, great breakfast and lovely afternoon tea, beautiful views from the restaurant, fabulous spa and regular shuttle to town. We stayed in a villa with a private pool which is great! When we got bored with our pool, the main pool is definitely a place to hang out as well. The staff are amazing - very helpful: the free tours provided (esp the hiking trip in the morning) is definitely a must. Will definitely return for a longer stay!

Great staff, fantastic breakfast, superb wiews from restaurant, clean rooms with lots of space, generous regular shuttle service that drops you off where you like, high class spa, quiet and relaxing environment. Good value for money and a great place to stay.

We stayed here for four nights last week.
The environment is very warm and welcoming. The setting is amongst Ubud forest and rice fields. This makes it an authentic Ubud experience. Be prepared to walk past the odd frog or gecko sitting by the garden path!
Our villa was magnificent, beautiful room, bed and amenities.
Our pool was a nice size, with two bid day beds beside it (along with an eating area). Beautiful gardens again.
Finally, the staff are amazing - big smiles and VERY helpful. They helped make our stay perfect.

PS: There is also a convenient hourly shuttle service (with return service) to Monkey Forest Rd.

My husband and I spent five days of our honeymoon here and it was incredible on every level. The welcome was genuine, the entrance and layout was really beautiful and the whole complex well thought out and giving a natural and authentic balinese feeling. There were spectacular views of rice paddies from everywhere including the gorgeous pool.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The food delicious and well presented. The lighting at night is incredibly romantic.
We returned to a rose petal bath and pretty hearts on the bed on the first night! The villa was huge and decorated lovingly with rich woods and ambient lighting. The staff even presented us with a honeymoon chocolate cake after our last meal.

I had a pedicure in the spa and was treated like royalty.

Can't recommend highly enough for honeymooners, couples singles, families... Everyone!

I have sat in front of my keyboard now for 5 minutes trying to put into words what this place meant to my wife and I .

I would just do it an injustice if a tried.

The service , All staff from the guy that climbs the palms to cut back the leaves and drop coconuts from a great height, to the staff on the front desk all had a smile and a greeting for us at any time day and night.

The Villa was amazing , the food brilliant ,the grounds in constant state of grooming by the army of gardeners to the view of the rice fields .

Our romantic dinner for 2 in the villa with our own waitress and our very own muso on the bamboo keyboards. Will be a lasting memory .

To our friend MR Gecko who lived in the ceiling somewhere and gave us a wake up call every morning be it three hours before we were supposed to be up . But they are a lucky lizard and we were more than happy to share the room with him .

Plus check out the art gallery across the road . Far the Best in UBUD and she will come down in price .

Room Tip: They are all good it just depends on how much you want to spend
