“A total relaxation and awesome view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

My husband and I come with another couple and we love this place - a very relaxing getaway.
We love the natural view - specially from the swimming pool, the sound of waterfall so soothing too ;)
The staffs are friendly and the room - OMG, it was perfect!
We barely left the villa - we hang out by pool and their big jacuzzi.

Definitely recommend to try this place and we will come back soon.

We stayed at Natura for 5 days in February 2011. It was off season and so quite quiet. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and assisted us with arranging tours and transport. The accommodation was very special - overlooked a valley and could walk to the river below. The private plunge pool with infinity edge and a huge day bed was hard to leave long enough to go into Ubud. The room we had also had an indoor shower plus an outdoor shower with valley views and bathtub. The hotel does have regular shuttle buses into Ubud (too far to walk!) but you do need to nominate what time you want them to pick you up again (we didn't find this was a problem at all). Meals at the hotel were fairly average but breakfast is adequate and part of the tariff. We didn't try the spa offerings. Would certainly return- a great place for a private and romantic holiday away from the crowds of tourists.

Room Tip: All rooms seem quite OK - the ones with the plunge pools are best - worth the extra money.

We went on our Babymoon and were upgraded to a pool villa. Although the morning views of the valley that we woke up to were breathtaking, we couldnt help but feel sad at the terrible maintenance of the rooms and swimming pools- if only top management paid a bit more attention, seems liek it was being run entirely by staff.
The sheets had not been changed before we came in and the towels were dusty from the last time they were arranged there. A little attention to detail would go a long way. Once we had house keeping come in and change our linnen and scrub our bath tub, we had a lovely time around the resort. The gorgeous four-poster bed, the day bed by the pool, the lovely set spa overlooking the river (especially when its raining) all made up for the careless maintenance. It was a bit far from main Ubud but that didnt bother us much because the resort is more rustic and natural than alot of the swanky modern resorts in main ubud. We spent a good 2 days just in the resort and spa because it was so quiet and relaxing. A few bugs are to be expected in such a resort but we chose it for its nature and openness.
My pet peeves the day we were checking out was that despite being fully aware that I was pregnant, the resort was fumigated and we were given only 10 minutes notice. Being a very open resort where inside blends into the outside, I found myself quite trapped in the room, unable to keep the fumes entirely out despite shutting the doors and windows. Also the reception staff is a bit tricky as they try to make commissions on tours and drivers that they push you to take so watchout and you are much better getting someone from the city and talking to drivers yourself as we were left stranded by some miscommunication from the guy who asked the driver to drop us straight to the airport when we wanted a full tour around before- the driver obviously wasnt happy as he was being given very little money by the staff.

Room Tip: pick something that has an unobliterated view of the valley- check with them before booking

We left after one night (we were supposed to stay 3). They took us to our first room and we found 4 dead bugs including a roach + a roach running around in the closet. They upgraded us to the room right by the hot tub (much nicer room) BUT after we came back from dinner there were 2 dead roaches on the floor and we found throughout the evening 3 giant spiders (as in 5 inches big giant) on our bed netting - alive.

This place has a lot of potential, but it's a bit run down and their biggest issue is the inch gaps around all the doors. They aren't even trying to keep the bugs out. We tried to explain that it was a pretty simple fix to keep the bugs out just by sealing those inch gaps around all the doors and their response was "this is a jungle. there are bugs." Yeah, we get that, but maybe you could do a little more not to invite them in?

The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because it really is in a beautiful location and they really could be a great resort. But not with all the bugs. Also just to add, the rooms were dirty and there were 2 leaks in our roof and puddles all over the place.

We stayed in a delux villa next to the restaurant. The views are great and the facilities were very impressive. Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was good to very good. The shuttle into Ubud village was very handy the ride is only about 15 mins. If you are adverse to a walk up and down stairs you may have a few issues. I think it was about 158 steps down to the lap pool and spa huts down by the river. We are not that mobile but found the walk easy and worthwhile.

Room Tip: Rooms 11 and 12 are right next to the restaurant with excellent view, private infinity pool, weel su...

Our rooms had awesome views! The villas were very nice and were two story and had beautiful plunge pools. The bathrooms were outside and the showers had a view to the rainforest. It was nice having a hot shower in the rain. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good and the included breakfast was nice. The omelettes were very good, the fruit they serve is very good and their fresh juices are very, very, very good! The coffee is not good, (which is the same a every hotel in Bali), but it is passable. Their herbal tea was good though. When in Ubud, make sure you go to Il Giardino for their beautiful pizzas and ravioli!
Enjoy!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are similar. They are very designed and built. Some of the rooms have two singles and...

Great place to chill out. I
Nestled in the valley, overlooking the river, very peaceful escape. We stayed in a deluxe villa with its private infinity pool overlooking the lush greenery. Villas are very well maintained! The staff are very obliging, regular shuttle to the main drag of Ubud. Peaceful! Tranquil and renewing. Will definitely come back to stay here again
