This was my second time since last year staying at the Kajane. From the moment I walked out of the airport, I have been greeted with warm smiles and "welcome home". The service was impeccable and the warmth of their staffs will definitely make your trip. The hotel is located on the major road in Ubud. On one end is the Monkey Forest and on the other is the Ubud market and the palace. I took my daughter there for her birthday and her annual vacation. She was totally taken in by the staffs and the tranquility of the place. The front of the hotel was nothing one would expect to see inside the property. The greens and lush surrounding was amazing. If you are in for relaxation and bliss, this is the hotel for you. Also, next to the hotel is a very good restaurant which came highly recommended by locals and visitors - the Wayan Cafe. They served all kinds of food and again, the environment and surrounding would hype your appetite. I went there twice and had sat on both high and low table. Food was delicious and my daughter actually bought a kg of their peanut to take out. There are lots of restaurants and cafes along the street. Lots of shops to browse around and little boutiques to explore.

We have also tried their spa and they were reasonably cheap considering it in a hotel. A massage was like $20US. We have breakfast bought in to our room and a swimming pool that we could use all to ourselves. They have afternoon tea served free and a bed turn down service in the evening. We will be back again next year no doubt. To sum up, heavenly!

Great Hotel, service amazing, really lovely clean rooms, cleaned twice a day. The bathroom spacious and clean towels always on hand. Great location to great cafes down the road for breakfast and the Moneky forest which was my favourite part of the trip.

Stayed here for 2 nights and loved it.
Really good location.
Had x2 Mansion rooms which were lovely - well equipped and clean and a looked out onto the pool.
The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was brilliant - breakfast was awesome.
Happy Hour cocktails were excellent.
The staff were very helpful providing information on the area, restaurants, bars, excursions etc. and booked a day trip for us.
They drove us around the local area and picked us up after our evening meals etc which was really helpful.
The spa was fantastic and we enjoyed a great massage and scrub after a day of cycling with Bali Eco Cycling.

We are an Asian family with two teen-age kids who love to travel to experience new culture, and meet people. In Ubud, we stayed at the KanaNe Mua Private Villa & Mansion, in their two room villa with a private pool. It was a wonderful place! The architecture of the villas are amazing the the garden were well-kept. Our private pool was salt water chlorinated and was very clean. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and because of the rich foliage of the place, mosquitoes were natural to the environment. To shoo them away, the staff would light mosquito repellent in the verandas at dusk, and would light up incense oils in the rooms to keep them away. And just in case you had one of two that got in your room during the day, the beds had very clean, dust-free (it was important that it was dust free because I am asthmatic) sheer, mosquito-net that they would unfurl during their turn-down service. As the villa where we stayed in was at the edge of the property, breakfast would be brought to a villa, and the free transport that would take us to town, would wait for us at the back entrance so that we did not have to traverse the property to the main entrance. As for the staff, they were the most friendly people we have ever met! It is true what they said: they treated their guests as family, and so we were. This is one place that we are DEFINITELY GOING back to again!

Room Tip: Our Villa (Loji Villa) was at the end of the property, and had a lot of stairs to navigate. We would...

Arrived in Bali on Nyepi Eve with some trepidation. The trip from the airport ($A25) (Kajane Mua driver) was great with most of the villages preparing effigies of the spirits which were to be paraded through the streets that evening- We got to K Mua & was very impressed with the premises the position & definately the staff. The afternoon turned into evening with us being chaperoned by a member of the staff to watch the Ogoh Ogoh festival & what a night it was - watch some of the footage on Youtube - sensational night & what a way to start the holiday. The next day it was Nyepi..Silence prevailed through the day (generally)but all services were maintained. We had meals served next to the pool, massages, lessons in the making of offerings, yoga and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the surroundings of KaJane Mua. As it turned out arriving on Nyepi eve at Kajane Mua was a great decision..

Room Tip: we stayed upstairs in a mansion that shares a pool with 3 other mansions..steep stairs & bathroo...

Just spent a couple of nights here in the Beji Gita villa and everything was perfect.

The room: the best room I have ever stayed in. Clean, extremely well-maintained, and absolutely beautiful. You may find yourself staring at a gecko or some ants when you go to the bathroom at night, but let's be honest, Ubud is surrounded by jungle and the day you don't see these things would be a sad day because it would mean that Ubud had become so modern that there is no place left for the wildlife. The room and hotel grounds are impeccable.

The staff: they are so wonderful. I have never been treated so well. Every single person we encountered from the reception to the groundskeepers were so remarkably friendly that it made me feel guilty.

Location: it is right in the middle of Monkey Forest road so you have tons of shops and restaurants at your doorstep, but due to the way the hotel is laid out you will feel like you are secluded in your own jungle hideaway. The monkey forest, Puri Saraswati temple, and Campuhan ridge walk are all within about 20 minutes walking distance.

This place is basically perfect...book it and when there take time to realize how good you've got it. I can only hope that I can visit again.

Our stay at KajaNe Mua was truly memorable. The people who works there are truly helpful and friendly. The location is really convenient, just minutes away from Monkey Forest. Plenty of restaurants/shops along the road. Transportation within Ubud region is provided by the hotel. As for the private pool villa that we stayed in, the experience was truly good, room is clean and spacious. However, due to the fact that it is overlooking the rice field and surrounded by natural environment(a river runs below our villa), insects are common but harmless. The day tour by Bali Transport recommended by hotel was also great, driver was friendly and helpful. The spa prices was reasonable too.

Room Tip: Choose inner of the two villa near to the lobby for convenience and more privacy.
