Stayed for 6 great nights at this hotel.2 nights in Danu cluster & 4 nights in the Toya villa with private pool. The cluster villas are lovely but not very private as you can see into the other villas .The private pool villa was gorgeous, with a very romantic atmosphere & good sized pool. but not for anyone with walking difficulties as is quite a trek from the front reception,the Beji Villas are closer. It did not bother us at all the walk is very scenic & was a great surprise when we did it the first time.We had no prolems with water pressure or hot water & the temperature of the pool was fine,colder in the cluster pool.The only thing to be improved was maybe the breakfast which was just ok,but as food is so cheap it was not a problem for us.
The thing that made it so special,as we found in all of Bali, were the staff. They are so lovely & cant do enough for you.We liked the position,although not great views like some of the out of town places we could walk to all the amazing resturants & the market. We had lots of trips so got to see the amazing countryside of Bali. Do go to the dances,there are various ones evry night. We loved the Leglong dance at the palace. Best resturant was The Three Monkeys,also Lamak,& Indus for amazing views,but these are more expensive,all of the food was great even in the cheaper places where you can get a main course for £1.50.Not much night life but we loved Ubud & found plenty to do.

Without hesitation, this hotel is the best we have ever been to !
Quality, beauty, helpful staff, location, ... everything is just perfect. We really loved that place and regretted to stay only 1 night.

We had a Beji villa (the one called "Nara", which is like a private villa with a bathroom (really nice !), the bedroom and even a living room, for a total about 50 m2 ! Moreover, there is also a nice terasse and ... a real private pool (about 4x7m) ! Everything is so beautiful !!
The official price is 195 USD per night, but we could negociate to 1.655.000 IDR since we showed the kita (a indonesian working visa) of a friend.

It seems expensive, but it really worths the value !!

Spent 10 glorious days at the Kajane, 5 of which were in the Danu Cluster rooms. Very spacious and beautiful rooms but not a lot of privacy. We spent our last 5 days in the Beji Gita villa, well worth the extra dollars and very private. We appreciated the spaciousness of the villa and the very comfy bed. The staff at the Kajane are outstanding and the location is excellent.

My husband and I stayed at the Kajane in May 2007 for out 25th Wedding Anniversary and we couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel was very surprising in that it is located on one of the main roads through Ubud (Monkey Forest), however, once you walk passed the lobby area it was totally private, quiet, and very lush.

We stayed in the Toya Uma which is a pool villa. The villa was impecable, king size bed, TV, dressing area, huge stone tub in a private outdoor garden (ours was filled with the most wonderful flower petals), all air conditioned.

They wonderful staff brought us breakfast every morning, consisting of eggs, bacon, croissants, fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee. Being from California we weren't real sure of what the food would be like...it was great! Every afternoon they brought us snacks on our patio. And the mini bar is stocked and was very inexpensive...no need to buy your own.

The location on Monkey Forest is great! You walk out the front of the hotel and to the right the store lined street leads to the Monkey Forest (which you can walk to) and to the left you can wander down to the Ubud Market...which is worth the trip.

We also had spa treatments at Kajane out by our private pool. They can arrange many types of spa services. There are also many wonderful spas right along Monkey Forest...well worth trying. Our favorite was Eve. Very professional, and very inexpensive...we just couldn't stay out of the spas.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful, spotlessly clean, the staff very attentive, we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. We can't wait to go back...which we definitely will!!

I would submit pictures, but if you look at all the pictures of the Kajane from other travelers...that is exactly what it looks like...EXACTLY! Wonderful!!
