This hotel was the second port of call on our honeymoon and we were not disappointed!
It was one of the major highlights of our 14 days in Bali and Lombok. We stayed at the Chedi Club for 3 nights. The location is stunning, set on paddy fields, the grounds are very well looked after, the staff that look after the gardens, trees and pathways were always friendly and courteous. You really do feel as though you never want to leave.
My wife and I were lucky enough to have a pool villa which looked out over the paddy fields, the rice had been harvested so no rice, but we did have the pleasure of seeing a group of ducks patrolling the area everyday which was truly lovely. We were looked after by our butler Dana, this young man really made our stay memorable, nothing was too much trouble for him. The way in which Dana looked after our room was amazing, we always arrived back to it being immaculately clean and with a new towel creation left on our bed. Dana also took us on a paddy field walk to show us exactly what goes on in those fields. We couldn't have asked to be looked after by a gentler soul, you would be incredibly lucky to find this kind of service elsewhere.
Another shining light in the Chedi is it's Chef, Chef Dean is truly incredible. My Wife is vegan and I am vegetarian so we expected to be given a few options on the menu that met our needs. Well Chef Dean surpassed our expectations, he came to us on our very first night and asked my wife what foods she enjoyed, within minutes he had created dishes that would have left michelin star restaurants in the shade. He continued to look after us for our entire stay, every night going off menu to see to our needs, I really can't speak highly enough of this man, Chef Dean and Dana are two treasures i hope the Chedi Club are able to retain.
This hotel really is one of the best in the world and is a credit to all the work Simon(The Manager) and his team put in, all of the team at the Chedi are top class and we would return there in a heartbeat.
